Happy Birthday to Me....

So, yes I turned another year older...booohoooo! Anyways, I wanted to show you all how much my family did for me that day. I came home on Saturday night to the house all decorated with balloons and streamers. Then on Sunday, when we came home from church Aaron and the kids made me a 2 course dinner. Because A knew we would be starving by the time we came home, he quickly whipped up a creamy crab soup. It was delicious...then I was able to go upstairs and relax while he made a second course of steak, bernaise (sp?) sauce, mashed potatoes with chives and rolls.

I was sooo impressed that a man could pull that off with NO help and kids hanging on him! He even gave the kids baths too! I wish my birthday was everyday.

One of the other top competitors to making my birthday complete was having a surprise phone call from Emporia while all my girls sang Happy Birthday for me. I seriously had tears in my eyes....I miss them SOOOO much! I am definitely going to have to make a trip down there!

Kylie and Josh decided to give each other make-overs while waiting for dinner!

Josh made to look like a warrior!

A and the kids even made the cake!

Happy Birthday Thomas!!!!!

Today is my sweet nephew's 3rd birthday! Woohoo! Through the grapevine I've heard he's having the best Lightning McQueen birthday party ever tomorrow. I really wish we could play too. Thomas is a very kind, very loving Auntie Rari's boy. Thomas...say sorry Mimi! So have a great a day sweet boy and we will be thinking about you!

Pictureless posts....

I know we haven't had any pics lately but sad to say, I left my memory card in Michigan. So the other two Christmas' and Warner family pictures are probably in my room at my parent's house....somewhere???? Of course, I haven't gotten a new card yet either...so...no pics.

Josh...he lost another tooth a few days ago. It was his "V" tooth. When he was born he had a fused tooth and now it's gone. I told Josh that I really wanted the tooth fairy to leave it because I was so sad he lost it. I love that tooth....it set him apart...I know I'm being gushy...it's only a tooth. But he wouldn't let me write that note because he was afraid he would not get any money. :( He is also becoming a very good reader. Every night he comes home with a new book and he has become quite confident! He is even trying to guess how everything is spelled...which I'm not to sure about...because I spell a few things here and there, so the kids don't know what I'm talking about....I think my days are numbered!

Kylie...she has become quite the talker. She used to just sit back and take everything in...well not anymore! She loves to tell us every little thought that passes through her mind. Especially at dinner when she is supposed to be eating! She has also begun to sing more. I love that. Mimi got her this piano and microphone for Christmas and she loves to dance and sing with the songs. It's too cute. Sometime I'll have to tape her when she doesn't know it.

What I love most about my kids, lately, is how well they are playing together. They have been taking turns playing Dog Catcher and fighting with swords and lightsabers. Don't get me wrong...they still fight...but is a lot less! I haven't even minded Josh not having school a lot lately. I think this summer we will have tons of fun.

Hopefully I get my DS card soon...or go buy another. Until then...

Ok, so I know this is A LOT late but...

better late than never...right? So I love this video and I showed to my young women that I teach...(when it's my turn). I hope that I can show this every year to my kids as they get older too!

Our 1st Christmas...

Yes, that's right....I said (or wrote) 1st Christmas! We had three Christmas' in total. How lucky were Josh and Kylie...right? Santa came to our house for the first Christmas and the kids LOVED it. Kylie and Josh were sooo excited, it was so hard for Aaron and I not to jump up and down with them.
I think I appreciate Christmas a lot more as an adult because I know how much work my mom and dad put into ours. I just hope that as the kids keep getting older I can keep it just as magical as they did for me!

Our joke present was UNDERWEAR. We wrapped Kylie's and gave it Josh and vice versa. Here is Josh's expression as he realized what he got.
