My parents came!

I am sooo lucky to have such great parents! My mom and sister Meagan came Aug. 13th and stayed until Aug. 27th. They helped me soooo much! We also did a lot of fun things together. We tie dyed shirts with our great neighbors across the street, we went to Deanna Rose (pics below), did some shopping, and ate some great food! My dad came out at the last minute and spent the last weekend with us. It was really fun to have adult conversation and lots of help.
I love it when Josh and Meagan play nice together. That is priceless!
I am very greatful to have such loving parents who love to help. (If they don't love to help, they sure to do put on a good face.) We really miss living close to them. Kylie already is asking where her Meagan, Mimi, and Papi are. Josh last night told me that he wished he could stay on the phone with Mimi all night long and sleep with her through the phone.

Dog fight....

I wanted to take Missy to the dog park (which has a lake) to show her how fun a bigger body of water (bigger than the shower) can be. While walking down to the lake Missy and Sadie were having so much fun playing with Josh...running beside him and barking! All the sudden three dogs approached and started smelling Missy...which I was thinking...was totally normal. It wasn't until Missy was upside down in a huge mud puddle yelping like she was dying that I realized something was really wrong. I ran to Missy and picked her up and poor Missy didn't know who was who and was still defending herself like crazy.
After all was done Missy received a bite to the face with one of the dogs teeth hitting her cheek and the other her eye. I recieved two bites from Missy while picking her up. Stupid big dogs!

Trying to play with Zoey before the dog park...

First Day of School...

Today was a day! This morning was Josh's first day of kindergarten. He DID NOT WANT TO GO. All morning he HATED kindergarten. In fact he wanted to go get a construction wrecker ball and knock down his school so that he wouldn't have to go. (Didn't we all feel like that at some point???) With that said...he did go. He was very reluctant but I think it helped that I drove him to school and walked him to his class. His guidance counselor was very nice and took over for me to calm his nerves.
I came home and took a nap!
As school was ending I went, very nervously, to pick him up. As he walked out, he had a sticker on him for the bus...(which he normally will ride) and he had a HUGE smile on his face. He told me that he wanted to ride the bus home! I walked him over the bus and took a picture of him with his bus driver. He came home all smiles and actually loved his day! He told me about how his teacher lost KinderCat and they had to go look all over the school for it. How they colored pictures and went to PE.
I just can't believe I have a kindergartener....that went by way too fast. I think I was so nervous this morning that I didn't realize how sad I would be until I was walking away from the school without him holding my hand. Here a few pics of him after school too. I was too afraid to take any before school...

Introducing.....Missy....

Here is the newest member of our family! She is a soft coated wheaten terrier. The kids absolutely love her and she loves the kids! Sadie even likes her and she follows Sadie everywhere she goes. We didn't know it but this dog loves water. Meagan was getting in the shower tonight and Missy walked right into the water, getting soaked and she was loving every minute of it. We are very glad to have her a part of our family!
