There's no place like home...

"Close you eyes and tap your heels together three times. And think to yourself, there's no place like home.” ~Wizard of Oz. Well, we are finally home. Hopefully, we stay here for a while but with Aaron's job who knows. While Aaron was home we had a lot of things to do, or should I say he had a lot of things to do for me before he left. One of those items on the list included buying a tree...He got most of them done thankfully but he didn't get to see the planted. Sooo sad.

Now that it's just me and the kids, the real work begins though....going through clothes, toys, and tools (I'm making Aaron nervous with that comment I'm sure). To weed out what we don't need anymore. We have a lot of junk.

In the meantime, we are also getting Josh ready for school. He had his kindergarten shots on Friday (luckily I was able to catch him everytime he ran for the door) and yesterday we dropped of all the paperwork for school. We should find out soon who is teacher is. The very cool part is that Mimi and Auntie Meagan are going to show up just in time to go to meet the teacher night at his school. We are very excited to have them come.

Aaron, we miss you...please come home soon. Here's the tree we picked out...hope you like it as much as I do.

Another tooth...

The last thing Josh wanted to do before we left Texas was lose a tooth...and he made sure that happened! Here is our little boy with 2 teeth gone. Crazy

Last weekend in Tx for me and the kids...

So this was our last weekend in Texas. At least mine and the kids, that is. I have loved Texas. I love the sunshine, the close family, and all the fun things to do. We were so lucky to be able to visit Abah (my aunt Kathy) and my Uncle Henry and Aunt Diane on Saturday. Josh said it perfectly when we were leaving Abah's house...Mom, this is like, the best day ever..first we go swimming at Abah's and now we are going to play dress up!
Also, in the last week, we bought a new car...I know I said I would never own a mini-van however, push came to shove and it just made the most sense. So, we are now the proud part owner (the bank owns the other half!) of a VW Routan. Tomorrow we get the leather seats put in!

Remember the Alamo...

This weekend we thought it would be fun to take a quick trip to San Antonio and see the Alamo. So we left after Aaron got off work and ran up to Enchanted Springs and had dinner with the cowboys. We learned all about the cowboys of San Antonio and found an awesome place to take pictures! As you'll see below!

Later firework fun! But not too much as there is a ban everywhere in Texas since we haven't had any rain!
