Galveston...

This weekend was soooo fun! For Aaron's birthday/Father's day present I took him fishing on the Gulf of Mexico. We went with Aaron's friend and his wife too! I didn't get too many pictures fishing because I was too busy trying to catch my shark. Guess what....I did...I caught a baby shark. After I caught it though, the fishing guy who took us, let it go :( So sad, I didn't even get a picture of it. If you don't believe me, Aaron's friend Danny told me that you could call him and he would back me up!
After fishing we went shopping, exploring and to the beach. The kids loved the beach...this was their first trip to the ocean. They LOVED making sand castles and catching hermit crabs! They also loved jumping over the waves. It's amazing how fearless they were...we had to be sooo careful with them. So now it's back to reality, I decided I like vacation a lot better than reality!

The last day of swimming lessons...session 1.

Today was the last day of his first session of swim lessons. He has grown so much as a swimmer and he loved his teachers. He was able to do all of the fun activities at the pool...so he was on cloud 9. Here a few of the pics I took today...

Toothless Joe from Kokomo...

This morning started out as any other day...until we went to swimming lessons. While we were there Josh started doing the backstroke...holy crap...he was doing the backstroke. This is my little boy, who last year wouldn't even put his face in the water...is now swimming like a fish! As I was coming home I was feeling a little sentimental thinking that he is growing up sooo fast. Then after we got home he ran into Kylie's room as I was putting her down for a nap and yelled, (imagine him jumping up and down and taking breathes between every other word) "Mom, I heard my tooth crack, do you think it's time for it to come out?" So I opened up his mouth and his tooth was bleeding. So to spare you all the details I jiggled it a couple times and out it came!
So once again my little boy grew up a little more. I can't believe how fast time is going with him! For all those who can't imagine Josh with one less tooth...here are some pictures of the new Josh and his tooth fairy pillow.

It's starting to sizzle....

It is gettin' HOT here! I know it will get more hot and more humid but right now...it's just hot. At Aaron's work they have started work an hour earlier, so the laborers can be out of the heat an hour earlier...hopefully that means Aaron comes home an hour earlier too...so cross your fingers! In the meantime, this weekend, we bought a slip-n-slide. The kids had so much fun and I played around with the camera...

The day my little boy became a man...

I came home to a little boy wrapped in a towel, laying on the couch and a black eye forming. We watched his eye very closely last night and it was just around his eye that seemed to be swelling...until 10am today. I was talking to him and noticed a bright red spot on the inside of his eye. This is what it ended up to be....

Don't worry, we went to Urgent Care and his eye is just bruised. Thank Heavens!

But you should see the other guy...
