Kylie is really starting to talk...also video of both kids

So this week was really busy and not a lot of time for picture opportunities, but since Sunday is supposed to be more of a lazy and relaxing day (yeah right) I tried to get some pictures for ya'll. Kylie has really started talking...It's sooooo cute but at the same time I'm so scared. We all know what happened when Josh started talking....he never stopped :) She will actually tell me "no" now when she doesn't want something and "Peese" when she does. Kylie even sings most of the "Wonder Pets" theme song. She watches it as we travel back and forth from Emporia to Lenexa...and we do that a lot these days. At the bottom of this post is video of both kids from today. Josh has really been working on his headstands and can actually do it on his own without the wall...but of course he was camera shy and would only do it against the door.

This is our last full week in Emporia and then Josh starts pre-k next week. I'm kind of nervous but staying at the bigger house will be nice!

Mimi, Papa V, and Meagan come----YEAH!

This past week Mimi, Papa V, and Meagan came to play. They spent the first night and day in Emporia...with absolutely nothing to do, so we packed up and went up to Kansas City (Lenexa) and played. We had some good food, played a lot at the house, stayed up really late everynight, and went to Deanna Rose Farmstead. So here are some pictures of the week. I know I have a lot but I could have put of more...I edited it down to this.
I forgot to add Kylie has made up names for everyone now. Mimi and Meagan are May (more like MMMMMaaaaaayyyyyy) and Papa V is Papa (pronounced PApa). It was really cute. She really took to everyone fast and after they left she kept saying, "Mmmaaaaaayyyyyyy...where'd she go?"

The Lyon County Fair...there is something to do in Emporia!

This past weekend Josh has been sick but for a couple of hours we thought he feeling better so we battled the 106* heat index and went to the fair. You can see in our pictures just how hot and humid it was. We didn't last very long as Josh crashed fast. The last pictures are cooling off in the car and waiting for our slushes at Sonic!!!! Josh loved every minute of it.

Josh decided that he needed to thin his out hair out today with my thinning scissors. So we had to make an emergency trip to cut his haircut this afternoon. Below are the before and after pictures...

August 1, 2008 -- It is sooo hot today that we can either stay inside all day or go swimming. Guess what we did?

Today the heat index reached over 100* F, so I told Josh that we could either stay in the house all day or go to the pool...because it was too hot to do anything else. Of course we went to the pool. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
