summer is wonderful.  it is fun to have so much time with the kiddos.

my favorite few things... 1) not having to rush all the time to get places.  2) time to just BE together 3) super creative & fun kiddos
a few things I wish I could do without.... 1) cooking food.  why do we have to eat soo many times a day?  2) cleaning up, laundry... blah.

and since this will prob be the only post for another month... let me give you some bullets of what's going on...

gow-
-work is good.  he is currently working on a feature length film.  it's a dream come true as he is being paid to be the editor.  the film is a documentary on a man & his love, commitment, growth & sacrifice to his wife as she battles MS.  more on that as he works more..
- as for worship - he has the month of July off as they are doing a trial run with a potential new leaders.

Sally-
- told me this week that she hopes to grow up to be a dancer.  aye yi yi.
- has truly matured in that she is a big helper and fully understands the beauty of keeping her emotions in check and helping DK & H with that.

- she loves to create art of almost any kind.

-mastered the monkey bars for the first time this week.

Daisy-
- told me she wants to be a vet or a teacher this week.
- loves vanilla ice cream cones
- is also learning how to read mostly from context clues and occasionally corrects Sally as she is reading.
- is a thinker.  i am seeing Daddy in the way that she observes, thinks & then reacts on her own time and usually with a whole lot of love and compassion.
- swam 3/4 of the pool by herself this week.  we hope to have her be a swimmer this summer without any floaties.
- has some belly issues, where she often chooses to lay down after a meal for 5-10 minutes while eating a tums.

Henry-
- loves water.  swimming in it, pouring it, splashing it or spraying his own face with it.
- has no sense of fear or danger on his big wheels while zooming down the drive way.
- has turned blondish with the sun this summer.
- loves juice & is happiest when eating.
- is a nut and loves to copy what his sisters say and make jokes.
- currently sleeps with a trucks blanket that he loves.

Me-
- well, i am doing great.
- spinning the plates of our family, our extended family, youth group & keeping the clothes clean & food in the bellies.
-  am celebrating God's faithfulness thru our youth groups' first mission trip. and thanking Him for His love and presence in the lives of our youth & leaders.
- I am thankful for summer and more time with the kiddos and the freedom to stay up later and do things that we can't do during the school year.
- and thank God daily for an amazing life partner.  Gow is truly amazing and God's biggest blessing to me.

Here is the video from our Mission Trip.  5 middle schoolers, 10 high schoolers & 5 leaders to Sautee Nachoochee, Georgia with TEAMeffort.
