The whole year towards baptism has been quite a trying one. But I'm glad I have so many friends to help me along the way. Without them, I doubt I'd be able to have advanced so much into my spiritual journey. To receive 3 sacraments in one day is a blessing indeed. And to have such a great ceremony, with many friends to witness this event, made me very happy. I'm finally and officially a Catholic. I'm proud to be part of this great family, and look forward to serving God with my life. The following is simply just Easter Triduum in a nutshell for me.
Maundy Thursday Had a short school day. Awesome lunch. Met the CSS Nellers for our mass at SVDP. Went visiting to St Anne's, Nativity, and Saint Francis Xavier. Witnessed for the first time what Easter is like. Not just all eggs and holidays and stuff. Went home in a very reflective and solemn mood after watching Jesus being 'arrested and taken away'.
Good Friday Went to Novena with my RCIA group to watch the Passion play. The weather provided great sound effects. Didn't really fast but I did abstain from meat. So I hope that counts. Lol. Didn't do much for the whole day. Had a productive gym though. Sweat some fats off.
Easter Vigil Went to Cathedral for mass. It was very awesome. Its like starting all lights were off. Then the Paschal candle was lit. And the Bishop went to the center and lights some candles. And soon all candles were ablaze and the church hall was brightly lit. Don't even need the lights. I was simply beautiful. The most awesome part was the Gloria, where the bells rung loud and long. The choir was good. Everyday about his resurrection was awesome.
Easter Sunday The biggest day of my life. Very exciting. I went to play badminton in the morning. Didn't eat anything except for a cup of milo. And 2 clorets mints. So that I can prepare my body for my first communion. From the immersion baptism, to the annointing of Chrism oil and Eucharistic celebration, it was a whirlwind of activity. Time passed by so slowly and yet so quickly. First I got dunked, then I got oiled and finally I got fed. It was awesome beyond words. I thank God for having this wonderful day. To be alive and to celebrate His feast as a member of His Church
AMEN

title:{Rite Of Election}
Its been about a month since I last blogged. School is making me waste away. Stupid school. The education system in university seems to be like speed learning. Whoever can learn the fastest wins. So ya. Our degree holders are just people who learn fast. Doesn't mean they are smart or creative. They just absorb and vomit fast.
Rite Of Election. Another stepping stone in my spiritual journey. Man, I'm giving up really really a lot of stuff now. Exams and stuff. And I gotta put my RCIA first. Damn difficult decision to make. Especially I gotta take a mid-term make up test because the actual falls on the retreat day. Ugh. All the tough calls. Gonna go mad soon. Oh wells.

Well. I think I got what I wished for in a weird sense. I'll just take whatever that comes. I'm part of Cantate Domino Risen Christ Choir. YAY. Haha. Powerful stuff. Had a first glimpse of the choir and how they integrate the songs with the mass. Then had a very very free/total/faithful/fruitful lunch and discussion session. Andrew seriously rocks big time. I gotta go join some Legion meeting then can see him more often.
Had the usual reunion dinner except this year, one element was missing. That was the River Hong Bao walk. I chose to forfeit it this year to try to finish up my tutorial. Everyday I get more panicky. I really really fear for my dear life that I'm gonna die big time, academically. At least for this semester. Haiz. Stress. Such an overly academic and elitist country. Apparently there's a new system that can detect dissident words in blogs. Let's test it out shall we. If in at least 2 months there is no posts. I think I can safely say I'm locked up in a holding cell somewhere.
Well. Saint in the making. I'm gonna do my best however I can. The little way. I hope I can survive the academic year. My grades damn lousy man. Haiz. Why does the world have to be so screwed up. Especially at this point of time. Grrr.

Omg. I can't believe I actually walked that distance. I can't believe I walked in Chinatown for like 2 or 3 hours. The spoils were good though. Bought half a kilo of mochi. Man those are good stuff. Haha the only great thing was the company I had eating cup noodles at Clark Quay. Haha its quite a fun idea. Imagine all the high class pubs and stuff, and a small group of people eating cup noodles by the river. Budget. That shows the extent of our recession.
Had CSC day 5. Its a day where residents of different volunteer programs get together and play some games. At the central forum. Well it was quite an interesting day. Made me realized CSC is a very chinese speaking community. Damn weird.

title:{First School Mass}
Well that was quite an eventful week for NUS. Lots of nonsense going on and lots of heavy schedule ahead. The thing to remember the most is of course, to pray. Lots and lots of prayer.
Attended my first CSS friday evening mass today. Well interesting lecture setting. Of course I had to give up the vivocity's Sushi Tei dinner. Haiz sad. I gained char kway teow and oyster as a trade off. Not too bad. The whole Holland Village hawker centre was like NUS dominated. GO CSS power lol.
I predict a very stressful semester ahead. Lots of modules, getting Baptised, wanting to join more CSC and CSS related activites. Seems pretty packed. And I haven't taken choir into account. Need to put certain things on hold for a while. Haiz my music is degrading. AGAIN. Not good sia. Need to find ways and means to practice. But then again, I doubt its important. Gotta concentrate on what is important at the moment and that's studies.
