Abby now tips the scales at 7 pounds and is 19 1/2 inches long. Ella, is 6 lbs, 12 oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. Both girls are doing great! Abby in particular, demonstrated those fine lungs for Dr. "Koola" and he was mighty impressed.
But the big news? The girls got their shots and Mom didn't even cry! This is huge....when Connor got his the first time I cried so hard I had to go get MYSELF a treat. I will admit to tearing up a little. But the babies were little troopers.
Save the date: The babies are being blessed on April 10th. If you would like to come, let me know and I will give you the details.
Growing stronger and stronger. Now if only they would sleep longer and longer. Sigh.

Two Months Old!
The babies are two months old and doing great! I can't give you exact weights at the moment but according to the Amy weighing system, they should both be over 6 pounds now. Their little personalities continue to show themselves. Abby is not a great sleeper...there is too much to check out, and to many hours she can spend being held. Why lay in a crib when you can make Mama carry you everywhere? Methinks she is getting a little spoiled. She does enjoy the Neglect-O-Matic (Steph's word for "swing") so she ends up there sometimes when I really need to get something done (like brush my teeth!) She has a pretty good appetite, but I am still struggling to get her to average her feedings out to 4-5 hours instead of 3 (arg!). Pretty Abby with the big bright eyes is a joy and we have a feeling there won't be too many dull moments with her around. Ella, on the other hand (or as I like to call her, my GOOD baby haha) will sleep for 5-6 hours at a stretch (though still sometimes wakes up at 4) but if Mom is still struggling with Abby, will patiently suck on her binkie and wait. She is really starting to eat great and her cheeks and legs are actually starting to look, dare I say, chubby? She favors one side with her head which has me a little concerned...she does not like to lay with her head flat or towards the left, so we will check with the doc. She is just a beauty and one laid back little girl (just don't keep her waiting too long...then WATCH OUT). I think Ella is one incredible ray of sunshine. I can now tell their cries apart, though they still trick me from time to time. Once in a while one will yell and I will run in there and they will both have their eyes closed and look like all is well with the world, causing me to question my sanity. Baby Games? Hmmm. Maybe. I can occasionally feed them simultaneously. It is tricky and doesn't always go smoothly, but for those times that it does, it's bliss. It means I get an extra hour or so of sleep before the fun starts all over again. It is hard, oh so hard, but I love life with my twins!
