Festive Friday

I can hardly believe it's the middle of September...the leaves are already starting to change colours here in New Hampshire and Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! I'm taking a little break from my "Floral Fridays" and replacing them with "Festive Fridays" so I can get a head start on all my holiday cards. There are 15 weeks left until Christmas so I really need to be making several a week!

I have two to share with you today...the first one uses a quote from the Stampin' Up set Occasional Quotes and I wanted to keep the card soft, simple and peaceful. I tore the white paper to create the snow on the mountains and ground and made the magic wand with my Martha Steward snowflake punch.

The second card is another clean and simple design using Stampin' Up's Peaceful Season. I coloured the SU rhinestones with my red Copic marker to make the berries.

Supplies:- Occasional Quotes by SU, Peaceful Season by SU, PTI white cardstock, SU coloured cardstock, Bazzil textured cardstock, SU markers, Copic markers, Martha Stewart punch, fiskar paper edgers and foam dots.

  4. How true is the sentiment on your first card Christy. Setting yourself a target for the Christmas preparations is a good idea.

  6. Christy what a fabulous idea - FESTIVE FRIDAYS. I too have to get a start on my Christmas Cards so thanks for the gentle reminder and your inspirational post. Both your cards today are fabulous. I have the Occassional Quotes set and I really love who you have created the mountain peaks with the torn paper and your magic wand. The red and green holly is beautiful too!
