Speedy Recovery

I was asked to make today's card for a guy at my husband's work who loves his motorcycle. The motorcycle and gloves are scrapbooking embellishments. The little paper clip is from Stampin' Up and I have no idea who makes the background paper!

Festive Friday

I'm starting to feel a little more festive now that we finally have removed the tree from our house. The small amount of damage will have to wait for the warmer weather to be repaired so we will just seal the holes for now.

I chose a tree for my card today and used some of the great silver glimmer paper from Stampin' Up...it makes the best punched out snowflakes!
Supplies:- Scenic Season by SU, PTI white cardstock, SU ink, SU coloured, Ribbon, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, foam dots and SU glimmer paper.

I'm back!

Sorry I've been gone for so long. We got hit with a big snowstorm on the 29th of October and did not have power for nearly a week. The storm has left a huge mess including a 70 foot red oak tree on our house. Thankfully we are all fine. We are still not sure of the full extent of the damage to our house but are trying to be patient as we wait for the experts to come and give us a quote. There are trees down all over the state so it might be a while!

Things are slowly getting back to normal (whatever that is) and I will hopefully get around to posting a card for you all tomorrow.

Have a great day!

No Christmas cards today...I've been busy making these Halloween treats all week for my archery class. The stamp is from Ippity's That's Creepy set and I used my Stampin' Up circle punches for the cute little archery target.

Festive Friday

One of the fun things about making my own Christmas cards each year is going back through my Christmas stamps and remembering the year I purchased them. I would buy one Christmas stamp each year and make all my Christmas cards the same. Today's card uses a stamp I purchased in 2005 for that reason. Over the last few years I've made all my Christmas cards different which allows me to go back and re-visit my favourites year after year...and of course purchase a few new ones too!!!
Supplies:- Royal Mail by Penny Black, Christmas Punch by SU, PTI white cardstock, brilliance ink, SU markers, SU tag punch, SU coloured cardstock, unknown DP, eyelet, foam dots and SU ribbon.

Thinking of You

Today's card is my swap card that I made for the Stampin' Up card club I attend each month...I can hardly believe it's been a month since the last one...where does the time fly! Anyway, this month's swap theme was Fall/Halloween and so I made a Thinking of You card in Fall colours. I pieced the background together and then stamped just the flowers from the featured stamp in Versamark ink...you have to look very closely to see them in the photograph. I punched the sentiment out with the scalloped oval punch and then cut the top and bottom off. I didn't have any ribbon that really matched so I used a strip of co-ordinating cardstock.
Supplies:- On the Grow by SU, SU coloured cardstock. SU markers, SU scalloped oval punch, Brilliance ink, Versamark, SU brads and foam dots.

With Sympathy and Sadness

I really don't enjoy making more than one of a card...but I don't mind doing a slight variation using the same supplies that are sprawled out all over my craft table! Here are two cards that I created from the exact same supplies using stamps from Stampin' Up and Unity.

Supplies:- Unity KOTM May 2009 and May 2011, Thoughts and Prayers by SU, PTI white cardstock, brilliance ink, SU coloured cardstock, SU markers, SU DSP, Paper flowers, brads and foam dots.

Festive Friday

I can hardly believe it's the middle of September...the leaves are already starting to change colours here in New Hampshire and Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner! I'm taking a little break from my "Floral Fridays" and replacing them with "Festive Fridays" so I can get a head start on all my holiday cards. There are 15 weeks left until Christmas so I really need to be making several a week!

I have two to share with you today...the first one uses a quote from the Stampin' Up set Occasional Quotes and I wanted to keep the card soft, simple and peaceful. I tore the white paper to create the snow on the mountains and ground and made the magic wand with my Martha Steward snowflake punch.

The second card is another clean and simple design using Stampin' Up's Peaceful Season. I coloured the SU rhinestones with my red Copic marker to make the berries.

Supplies:- Occasional Quotes by SU, Peaceful Season by SU, PTI white cardstock, SU coloured cardstock, Bazzil textured cardstock, SU markers, Copic markers, Martha Stewart punch, fiskar paper edgers and foam dots.

A sweet birthday wish...

This week's Penny Black Saturday Challenge is "Delicious"...they want to see something yummy on your creation! I chose to use Cherry Jubilee for my card with a big bowl of delicious cherries...yum! The sentiment is from Unity's Kit of the Month June 2011 and I used my Copic Multiliner to draw a little cherry border around the edge to match the design on the bowl.
Supplies:- Cherry Jubilee by Penny Black, Unity KOTM June 2011, PTI white cardstock, Brilliance ink, SU markers, SU coloured cardstock, Copic Multiliner, Nestabilities, Fiskar paper edgers, Button, lace and foam dots.

Archery Notebook

Some of you may know that one of the things I enjoy with my family is archery. We all needed notebooks to record our sight adjustments for the various distances we shoot so I dug out my bind-it-all and nestabilities and made little notebooks for everyone with an archery target on the front...here's mine...

With Love & Caring

I have two cards to share with you today because as I was making the first one for this weeks Play Date Cafe Colour Splash Challenge I didn't want to waste the printed paper that I had trimmed and it was the perfect size for a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card. Here's the Colour Splash Challenge...black and white with a splash of red!
...and here are my cards. The designer paper is black although it does look grey in the photograph.

Penny Black Challenge

I've been soooo busy the last few weeks running around getting the kids ready for their first day back at school yesterday that I haven't had a huge amount of time to make cards...I've made cards that I needed but none just for the fun of it! This morning I came across this week's Penny Black Saturday challenge which is the sketch below and decided to make a card before all the other things that need doing. I went into my craft room to find a mess! I like a reasonably tidy space to work but I've been so rushed with the last few projects that there was stamps, papers, scraps, tools everywhere! I cleaned my space, turned on some music and had lots of fun making the card below.

Supplies:- Looking at You by Penny Black, PTI white cardstock, Brilliance ink, SU markers, Colorbok DP, SU coloured cardstock, Nestabilities, Paper roses, SU flower punch and felt flower.

Praying for you...

I have owned the background paper on this card for approximately 15 years! It's from a set of scrapbook papers I purchased when I started to scrapbook and at the time I really didn't like it...it seemed very dull for the pages of my baby boy's scrapbook. Fast forward 15 years and I really like it and it goes perfectly with the set Thoughts and Prayers by Stampin' Up. Unfortunately, I only have a small piece left but I think I will use it and not store it for another 15 years!
Supplies:- Thoughts and Prayers by SU, PTI white cardstock, Brilliance ink, SU coloured cardstock, Current DP, foam dots, ribbon and SU rhinestones.
