Birthday!

It's been a while since my last update.  I decided to start posting again about the kids.  Here is a pic from a little over a month ago at Madison & Logan's first Birthday party.

Logan has fully recovered from his surgery and was give the green light to mix and migle with other kids and go out in public.  The doctors are very happy with how his heart is doing and feel that Logan will probably be able to play sports and do anything he wants.

They are crawling all over the place and pulling themselves up to a standing position.  Jen and I hope that you are all doing well.  I'll put some more pics up and update more often.

Rockin Christmas Eve at Bayside Church

Well Christmas is finally here!  Wow, it came fast.  Feels like just the other day we were feeding bottles to our newborn twins in the NICU.

The twins are 7 months old now and doing great!  Logan has been doing very well and catching up to Madison every day.  Madison is quite the little angel and princess.  Logan is definately all boy.  He loves blowing raspberries at every chance.

Jen and I were able to go to Church service this evening while my parents watched the twins for us.  It was an ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC service at Bayside here in Granite Bay.  Lincoln Brewster put on quite a show of music and Pastor Ray gave a wonderful message of hope.  It was phenomenal.  If you are in this area and reading this, you have got to check out Bayside!  They are open on weekends...even Sundays!  :-)

A funny moment during the service hit Jen and I at the same time.  Pastor Ray asked the congregation "How many of you are parents?"  Jen and I both paused a moment and looked at each other.  Then it hit us both at the same time.  We are!  It took us a moment.

Jen and I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas!  Thank you all for the love and support you have given to our family these past few months.  Having Madison and Logan or should I say "the Logasaurus" in our lives has really blessed our family and made us realize how special all of our friends and family really are.  I hope you all take a moment to think about your family and friends and reflect on your lives too.  Let your light shine bright!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours...and may God bless you.

How do I look in this hat?

Getting ready for Santa to come?  Madison definately is but Logan is a little unhappy he has to wait so long until Christmas!

We put our tree up last weekend while the twins looked on.  They definately enjoyed watching us as we hung ornaments and decorated the house.  They love to look at the lights on the tree at night.

It's hard to believe that they are already 6 months old and that this year is almost over!  Where did it go?  Logan has been catching up to Madison in weight but he still has a little ways to go to catch her in height.  Madison is still having some issues with spitting up.  We have tilted her mattress somewhat and that seems to be helping her sleep better.

We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.  We wish we could spend more time visiting with friends and family but we will have to make up for it next year.  Thanks for all your support!  We love you all!

Happy Thanksgiving

Jen and I enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving this year with our two little ones!  We are so blessed and thankful that Madison and Logan are in our lives.

Sometimes we get so busy and tired that we forget how truly wonderful it is to have them both in our lives.  Logan is doing very well and you would never know he had surgery about 5 weeks ago.  Madison is still such a cute little angel.

We hope all of you had a wonderful turkey day as well.

Having fun & playing

Here is a cute pic of Madison and Logan playing on their play mat yesterday.  As usual, Madison loves to be the goof.  They are really starting to enjoy each other and play together now.  It's fun to watch!  Logan is rapidly gaining on his sister in size, weight and development now.

This weekend we decided that we were going to work on dropping thier 3:30-4:00am-ish feeding.  Needless to say, they were not thrilled with this idea and we have definately heard about it from them.  We decided that to just tough it out for a couple nights and push forward.  Logan did well with it on Friday night and Madison did good with it last night.  Hopefully tonight they will both do well with it.  Maybe by next weekend they will have totally adjusted their sleep/eat schedule.

Uncle Garth teaches Logan to use the remote!

Uncle Garth is in town and staying with us for a few days.  He is definately enjoying Madison and Logan.  Logan is definately on a growth spurt right now and catching up to Madison very quickly.

Jen took Logan to get his RSV shot yesterday and they gave us strict orders not to take Logan out of the house until May!  May?  Holy Schlamoly!  Yep, that's correct.  Excpet for Doctor appts and places where the will have very little public exposure.  We can't take the kids to any public places where they could catch anything.  No malls, no pictures with Santa, no family get togethers for Thanksgiving or Christmas.  Logan is really at risk if he catches anything at all.  It's disappointing that their first year of life will be so confined, but a small sacrafice to keep him safe and healthy.

We can have a few (adult) visitors at times as long as they are feeling well and haven't been around anyone that is sick.  It's sad that we can't have other kids over for a while.  Madison absolutly adores other little children.  Hope everyone is doing great!  Send a prayer our direction now and then.
