Another tradition

As parents we are trying to find fun traditions that don't cost money...because who has that stuff anyway?  Not us.

Anyway...the sacramento zoo and fairytale town has free entrance on Christmas Eve.
Isn't that awesome?
We had so much fun.

It was cold.  Not Idaho cold.  But still cold.
But it was so worth it.

We love these moments where we can cuddle our loved ones (for free)..and make lasting memories together.

The cold was getting to us :)

 But not to him!
Yep...this picture is so us. Yep, we had a line a kids waiting.  Yep, I was embarrassed.

GIRLS

Sometimes us Moms need a break.  It doesn't happen very often...but when it does we ALWAYS take advantage of it...and we NEVER act our age :)

I love you Mom and Heath. Thank you for being the best friends I could have ever asked for.
Lets do it again sometime real soon.

So many pictures...so little time.

Is Christmas really over?  I am seriously shocked that another Holiday has come and gone.

I obviously took way too many pictures...or is there such a thing?  Not sure.
But this season was full of family fun, sweets and lots of traditions.

(Mema and Pepa have started the gingerbread house tradition and the kids LOVE IT!)

(Logan and I made a wish in this well 4 years ago...which was the day we started officially dating.)

(Chirstmas Eve Aunt Felicity was Kai's favorite entertainment.)

(Uncle "Elder McKee" aka my brother was able to meet Avery via Skype...it was so touching.)

(Avery and I and our matching nails...don't mind the fact that she is SO much tanner than me!)

Merry Christmas Everyone..I hope your season was full of love!

FIRETRUCKS!!!

We LOVE firetrucks around this house.  Like REALLY LOVE THEM!

You hear a beep? It's a firetruck.
A Costco forklift? It's a firetruck.
A truck on the road? It's a firetruck.
Ok, you get the picture... we love them!

We were so excited to get to go play at our local fire house.  They were so kind to Kai and he was seriously taking it all in with a BIG GRIN.

So thank you firefighters for all you do...but mostly for giving us such a fun outing!

Apple Hill

There is something about Apple Hill that just SCREAMS christmas.  Maybe its the christmas tree farm next store? or maybe the yummy apple cider? the beautiful cool air? carmel apples? family??.....Not sure what does the trick but I sure love this tradition.

Tis the season, and I love it!!
