Lets go back to London!
In the most recent ICSS Esplanade Newsletter, we have:
1.) Fresher's walkabout 2007
2.) Fresher's London Tour
3.) Fresher's Picnic
It didn't seem that long ago that I was moaning about school restarting while I am stuck at work, and its a permanent fact that I am not going back to yet another fresher picnic or a London walkabout. And I hate time yet again. It's pretty illogical to hate something that does not have a personality, and yet at the same time, its all to blame for moving on too fast.
Meet up with Hock Boon and Peng Yu last night before the two of them leave. The fact that liverpool was held to a 0-0 draw by Birmingham didn't raise my spirits considerably. Inevitably, the talk with the two of them revolved about what to do in London after arriving, how much does the accomodation for the year cost, that Ethos is now charging for subscription, and that Notts game will be another walkover for the Imperial Floorball Team (hopefully). And I want to go back to London!
~~~
But lets face the reality.
As of 1st Sep, I'm now the Group (or Brigade) assistant ops office aka AS3. My boss was one whom I had and have tremendous amount of respect (and fear) for, having been to Ex Cope Tiger 02 with him. I dunno whether he is aware of the fact that I worked once for him, but nonetheless, I know that for the next year I am sitting in this position, I have to be on my toes all the time.
And I'll be headed for Australia, Woomera Firing Range this coming Tuesday to participate, for the last time as a Fire Unit Commander, in my Sqn's Live Firing Exercise. Its gonna be exciting, but I wouldn't say I am really looking forward to it. I can foresee all the things that would go wrong when I am away from my current job, and it would not take a bomoh to predict the amount of shit that would be sitting on my desk and in my mailbox when I return.
