The year in Review: 2006
I've had promised myself to set aside time yearly for a reviwe of the year, to rethink my resolutions and priorities for the coming year. This has come nearly 2 months late. I've been really pressed hard for time since I've started work, and I realised that I have really been neglecting family and friends, and I really hope to correct that this year (2007), despite knowing that my workload could only get heavier.
I'm feeling the burn out today, where after a recce to Changi for my exercise (which I would be participating from Sunday onwards), there is really nothing left in me to continue to work. I gave myself the time off to come home and rest, and I'm now taking this opportunity to fulfil my promise.

January 06
Its nice to always get to start a year review with my birthday. I felt lucky for my birthday in 006. I have my dear girl being the planner in chief for a series of surprises, which includes a day trip out visiting places I've not been to yet in London, and followed by a massive celebration at my place with my close friends still in the UK.

And just this month, I was blogging about having to spend CNY away from Singapore, away from the usual customs and traditions. Its with regrets now that I look back and realised that that would probably be, the last time I celebrate CNY in London.
February
February was a busy month. Hwa Chong Night was followed closely by the Singapore Playhouse London production. I've said that I wanted to stop, rest and enjoy more time with people in London, but I've ended up being sucked into hectic schedules. Nonetheless, the experiences were worth remembering, and the friends made worth keeping. Of course, I could remember heart warming times where Hui Min would make her way to Green Theatre (amazingly I remembered the name offhand) despite it being London's dead winter to send dinner to a suffering me.

And while I stopped to recollect myself after both events, I could remember being upset about the end of my academic life as a student, although it would only befall me in months to come.
5 weeks marks the end of an undergraduate academic term for me. No more EEE lectures for the rest of my life from then on.
No more floorball at Hyde Park.
No more fooling around in MDH during lunch time, trading gossips with juniors.
Back to Char Kuey Teow and Ba Chor Mee. Where's Sainsbury and Waitrose?
I'll miss 408, where Singaporean guys sleep in a single file during lectures.
March
March was an exciting month of sports~ London Games.
The floorball team are champs again, (and I know that they still are in the Nottingham Games for 2006). So really proud of them~
ROJAK! An ICSS Musical.

The last of the ICSS Major events which I would get to witness. It was perhaps not as spectacular as Flaggellah, (but of course, the event you organised will always be the best in your opinnion), but what's spectacular about this event was the participation of almost all the year 1s and year 2s in ICSS. Its amazing how gelled the society has become in the last 4 years, and of course, despite us wanting to find freedom and involvement in the cultures of the foreign by studying overseas, it is always inevitable that we wish for the sanctuary of our own countrymen.
Of course, with March comes the Spring break. Its the final exams, the final of the finals, and after this its really finito. I've not been working enough over the past year, so its time to make use of the spring break to buck up. Nonetheless, there is always time for a break with Hui Min. We took a day trip out to Bourton over the Waters. There really wasn't much to be done there, but we just enjoyed each other's company in the serenity of the tranquil town.

April
As per 2005, I don't really remember much of April other than mugging and mugging. Except that I had some emotional support during these times. Shudders.. off to May.
May
Exams are over~! (And its time for me to gloat as Edwin begins his The highlight of the month was the Singapore elections. I didn't vote as I wasn't registered (there seems to be some procedure which I wasn't aware off, so my name wasn't on the voting list at the Singapore Embassy). PAP won (Surprise!) and well, I believe its for the best anyway.
MY senior farewell party finally arrived. I've participated in all 4 SFPs in Imperial, as an organiser in year 1, to show support for my junior committee who organised when I was in year 2, to 'send' off my friends who studied only 3 years while I was in my third year, and finally, to be sent at last. The farewell souvenir is still sitting on my desk, reminding me of the glorious years I had in Imperial. :)
Oh, and Liverpool won the FA Cup :)
It was after that exiting match that we made a trip to ANFIELD! (Well, you could say that as an avid Liverpool supporter, going there only in my final year after my final exams is a little late).
June!
Relax loh~
I went to Scotland with Hui Min after her exams ended. I enjoyed my final holiday in UK, and I wanted myself to really savour every minute of it. Upon return from Scotland, its my final year project presentation which, in my opinion, went on pretty smoothly. Either that or my smoke grenades were really powerful.
Just prior to my departure, I did a walkabout of London and my neighbourhood for the last time. I was really depressing to know that that would be the last.
(Mmm) I want to linger here
(Mmm) a little longer here.
(Mmm) A little longer here with you.
(Mmm) It's such a perfect night.
(Mmm) It doesn't seem quite right.
(Mmm) That this should be our last with you.
(Mmm) Come next September (Mmm) we will remember
(Mmm) Our camping days and friendships true.
(Mmm) And as the years go by, (Mmm) we'll think of you and sigh.
(Mmm) It's just goodnight and not good-bye
(Slowly)(Mmm) I want to linger (Mmm) A little longer (Mmm)
A little longer here with you ....
June and onwards
Work started.
Hui Min returned to UK for Masters.
Life Sucks.
Ok I know this is a little abrupt for 06's review, but I'll not continue with June - December as yet, as I continue my reminiscence of a happy (half a) year in London in 2006.
