Personality Test

ESFP
You're a fun-loving outgoing person and are naturally drawn to people...you are quite enthusiastic and exuberant...and usually well-liked by others.. you're good at meeting people and helping them enjoy themselves...you are sympathetic towards people and generous with your time and money. You wanna be where the action is and will see things in your own special way...

You're aware what is going on around you and notice stuff that others miss. You're popular and gregarious and are often busy in social stuff...you are instigators of activity and like to be "where the action is..."...you like laughing at yourself and others....you like to help others and often join organizations that letcha do that..if you work as a teenager, chances are that you'll take a job that lets you interact with others (gift shop, waiter, anywhere you can charm or shmooze)....you're "on stage" often...

You're the eternal optimist, and always seem to land on your feet, somehow. (gee, all this stuff shows you might be good in the Storm Palace pubs..) you can interact with people of all ages, backgrounds or types with no problem.. you learn best when you can interact with others and DO things, not just observe or listen about 'em... Teachers are the key to your success.. they have to care about you for you to want to do well..

You don't like conflict or intellectual arguments...you don't like learning by sitting quietly by yourself and reading some boring abstract stuff..."how does it relate to my day-to-day life?!" You know how to motivate others to get the job done...you can link together people and resources...you'd probably be happy being a coach or a receptionist or a therapist...anywhere you could help people and be responsive to 'em...you don't impose your will.

You like teamwork...you can get caught up in others' emotions.. your style is inclusive and allowing others to participate in the decisions..you don't need to suck up all the glory...you like to take breaks and relax..you love being active and going out and doing things with friends...

You're fun to be with and bring enjoyment to situations...you find fun in the moment...your friends are VERY important to you, and I'll bet you tell 'em so and let 'em know it somehow...you like to reach out and touch the lives of others...you like to share your values with those you love... you might move in or out of a relationship depending if it "feels" comfortable..you get kinda hampered with disapproval.. you can overwhelm your partner with all this affection and stuff...when there's a breakup, you can move on and get over it quickly, surrounding yourself with your friends...

Be careful on these: don't spend too much time socializing and not enough on the task at hand. You'll probably talk on the phone rather than work. Also, don't forget to finish what you start..get some planning skills and time management...don't ignore the logical facts, as much as you'd rather go by subjective stuff...finally, don't be so action-oriented that you forget to plan ahead...

Ending of another week

Its Thursday, and without realising it, another week has just passed like that. Well at least my lab work is done, and most probably I have the weekend to myself for some revision and a bit more sleep, especially since everyone has been talking about my gradually increasin eyebags =P

The Singapore Flag Mosaic meeting was held yesterday, and you have no idea how glad I was when I saw the attendance. Hmm... at least half of the active freshers turned up, and that at least made me feel a lot better. At least the hard work I put in during summer to get them enthusiastic about Singsoc has not gone to waste =)

Oh well dinner time.. Sweet potatoes with Tomato Sardines.. (-_-")...

Cold, Wet and Miserable

It was supposed to be a great day for sleeping in, but I promised Zhenhao that I will keep the goal for the team, so I have to drag myself out of bed at 1030 despite the warm comfort of my bed and get out of house on a wet, soggy London Saturday.

We arrived at Canada Waters to find a lousy, waterlogged pitch. It didn't look that bad until I stepped in front of the goal and felt myself sinking into the mud. It just happened that I was made to perform and early dive, and that means getting totally wet early in the game. You guessed it... I spent the rest of the game freezing my toes off...

Hitched a ride in Kong Chun's Evo after the game. Cool.. or rather, WARM!! It was definitely a great feeling to be out of the weather.

Sunday proved to be yet another rainy day. Even as Esther and me went to church, the relentless rain refused to let up. The first sign of a recovering weather only showed up later in the afternoon, as the usual LAN gaming guys were busy at work heh...

Jon's birthday

Meeting was scheduled to begin at 8, but by 7.45pm we were already gathered at Qihui's place to prepare. Haha.. in case you were wondering, this time it would be a nice birthday celebration not the likes of Peida and CJ's.

Anyway we finally ironed out all the important things for the event. Things should fall into place once the sub committees are formed.

After the meeting, we brought out the cake after we had have our fun threatening the survival of Jonathan's precious fringe.

Slipping time...

No idea why I kept having such strange thoughts about my frenz recently...

It seems to me that time is passing by me so fast... without knowing what really happened in the last few weeks, I am in week 7 of my term.

My life in Imperial revolves around many close frenz... My committee, my course people, my batch mates, my seniors, my juniors...

What will life be without them in a couple of years time? I mean, I will be in the SAF and other people will be all over the island, or maybe even all over the globe. Will I get the chance to see everyone this often again? Will the bond be as strong? Shish... I am getting paranoid...

Just a thought...~

Was in the midst of my computing engineering lecture this afternoon when my mind starts to wander after half an hour long of droning regarding some ARM software.

There's no reason behind it, but I started remembering...

Remembering the days whereby my class was perched on the top right hand side of the Lecture Theatre 2.

Remembering the 6 guys who will sit together trying hard not to sleep while the rest of the gals are chatting about anything but the lecture,

Remembering the 'footprints on the roof' joke that was played,

Remembering the purple discmans that our economics lecturer was so fond of using as examples...

In short, I miss those days. Where are you, 98S60 / 98S62...?

Nottingham Games 2003

Saturday was spent in Nottingham. Woke up early in the morning at 5 am and trotted down to catch the bus outside Beit Hall. Slept through the 3 hrs bus ride to Notts, only to disembark to a freezing morning. Its nice for a change of morning scenary from the usual city buzz to a tranquil countryside.

Went straight to the soccer grounds. The first round started out okie, but the next 2 was disastrous, since more and more of us are beginning to limp from injuries. Got knocked out in the first round, but that doesnt matter, cos we have had loads of fun playing with one another. As for the A team, they progressed all the way till the semis, where they met the eventual champions Aston. It was a close fight, but Chih Yang had to concede an unfortunate, lucky goal.

We then returned to the main sports hall for the rest of the action. We missed the Table Tennis finals, but no matter. By then, they have already clinched the Goal medal. We were in time to see the netball gals win the semis by 9 - 2, and then treated to a fantastic, high scoring finals where they narrowly lost LSE 20-17. I was sooo proud of ICSS then, when you see all the seniors and freshers alike cheering the entire team on. The spirit was definitely comparable to that I see in Hwa Chong. ~Proud~

Hung around the sports hall till about 7, before we boarded the coach bound for home. Tired, ubut satisfied =)

Pre Notts Games

Yoyo.. my foot feel so much better today.. BUT... I am down with flu. This is the way things turn out. But I dun think I have much of a choice, going to have to let the fresher team risk me haha~ But I got a feeling that I am going to dissapoint them ha =P~

Meanwhile, thanks to all the people around me who are showing me confidence and concern despite my lame leg and my lame jokes. Cheers man heh~

Lame

Still have not recovered from the knock I gotten on Saturday. Went to Royal Oaks yesterday to give myself a test, a test to see if I am fit to play this Saturday in Nottingham, or not.

It turned out that I am unfit. Would rather not play than to even endanger the chances of even the 2nd team. See how things turn out.

Anyway am at lab now, waiting for my turn for lab oral. Dun think there is a chance of us being tested today heh... Good news... but that does not change the fact that I have already been stuck here for a couple of hours.

Birthdays

4th November: Peida and Jian Zhong's Birthdays.

Well, following a disappointing failure to give them the well deserved brithday treatments, this year's elaborate planning by Zhenhao paid off.

We were playing winning eleven in the room when their household returned from their dinner. Gwen took out the cake and brought it to the center of the room. We prepared to light the candle as Youwei shook Peida's hands, wishing him a happy 21st.

That was the signal we were waiting for.

Without hesitation, according to Ops Brief, we jumped on our assigned targets and before long, the 2 poor struggling souls found themselves in a hopeless situation. There are 11 of us on the 2 of them. After a few more moments of hapless struggling, toothpastes and shavers come into play.

Bingrong wrote 'Happy Birthday' in chinese on their backs, as Clement and Wenbin shaved off Cj and Peida's hair. After the 2 poor exhausted souls finally survived through their birthday ordeals, the cake was finally brought out again, and the 'proper' birthday celebrations resumed.

Shall post the photos once i get them uploaded. =PpP

Happy Birthday Peida, Jianzhong, Bernard and Gerald =).

Monday Blues

Cannot make it.

Woke up late (planned to) and came to school to finish up my lab which I have almost completed yesterday at home. BUT the lousy Pspice (or rather, the better version of Pspice) differed so much from what we used to use that we can't continue with the original work, and hence, here I am blogging away.

Anyway, here are the pictures to Hwa Chong Night 2003.
First Weekend With Internet

Man~ I sound deprived, dun't I? =P

Anyway my internet was finally up on Thursday when Bingrong came to my place with the modem. Friday was more lectures and tutorials, and finally the looong awaited weekend arrived.

Saturday morning proved to me a slightly damp morning, having rained the night before. However, that didn't stop us from playing the first matches in the Singsoc league. Switched my loyalties to Zhenhao's team this time, which can also be referred as the SAFFC of London, since all the regulars are in this team.

The team proved to be a real strong team, and the opposing team was kinda forced to play the likes of a 1-6-0 formation. After trying to break through the human wall placed in front of the very small goalposts for half an hour or so, we finally opened the scoring, and won the match finally 3-0.

Played as an 'on loan' player for my old team after that against a sore, sportsmanship-less Msoc team. After about an hour of listening to them complaining, whining and witnessing the referee's rising temper, the inevitable happened. They managed to get one of our guys badly injured, and of all people, that happened to be me. Nearly thought it is going to be a bad fracture a week before I play in the Notts game. But luckily, I survived, and escaped with just a bad bruise.

Managed to limp my way to Russell square later in the evening to attend Hwa Chong Night. Despite the fact that last year's was definitely better planned, this years HC Night had the triumph card: a more poshy and classy hotel ballroom. Enjoyed myself, meeting up with old friends, singing the FARMiliar songs, limping my way through the mass dances etc. The warmth, the company, the joy. I would say that it is definitly a pity that some of the freshers refused to come. They are the ones who missed out a lot!

And now, its Sunday. Time to rest and mug and prepare for lab tomorrow. What a letdown conclusion right? Haha.. my concenses exactly...
