On the Eve of New Year's Eve we had a lovely day! It was 68 in December in Kansas! Thomas and I spent all afternoon outside, until the sun went down. When Logan got home we went for a walk to Dairy Queen. This last picture I admit I had been reading my book when it had become a little too quiet and found my little guy trying to make a break for it.
Red enchiladas for the adults and a cheese tortilla for Thomas. Getting ready to read the Christmas story. Thomas got to open 1 present on Christmas eve. We had a fun time playing Candyland shapes. Cookies and then we left a special key outside for Santa, time for bed!
I had so much fun decorating the tree with Thomas this year. I started putting the lights on and he told me "beautiful Mommy." For this picture I asked him to go stand by the tree so as you can see he is just doing what a asked. All the stars needed to go on one branch. Thomas re-decorated the tree on a daily basis. It was like a new toy to play with. I got him a plane ornament this year and would take it off and fly it around everyday. Thomas was helping Daddy race, but he got sleepy from pushing all those buttons. I was working on making some ornaments with beads. I got big beads for Thomas so he could work on his beading whenever I did. Stinker face doing some sprinkles. Nonnie sent us some fun crafts to do, who doesn't love stickers? Thomas asked Santa for toys at the ward Christmas party. On the way home he told me that Santa didn't give him any. I said he would have to wait for Christmas. Logan took Thomas shopping with him so when they got home they were buddies. Thomas and I did plenty of baking during the holidays and we had a great time together. Building a castle. The gingerbread house was a pain to put together but Thomas enjoyed eating smarties. My bloated gingerbread people, they never turn out. They tasted just fine. Next year I will just make gingersnaps.
