The truth about chocolate milk

Saturday is a sleepy day for Thomas. I think it just must be the end of the week and he is worn out. Instead of being calm because he is tired he is bouncing off the walls trying to keep himself awake. I would let him take a nap but then he doesn't go to sleep until 10 or 11. Logan had a class today so I had had Thomas all day. On the way home Logan wanted to stop for a burrito. Thomas wanted to go with him to get it, which I encouraged. I stayed in the car. The line and the wait ended up being over 20 minutes. When they came out to the car Logan said that Thomas would not stop moving the entire time. Logan had asked him were all of his energy came from. Thomas didn't even think about it and replied "chocolate milk!" When Logan told me what Thomas had said I laughed and laughed truer words were never spoken.

Pre-birthday presents

We were headed to AZ for Thomas' Birthday. Since we were flying I wanted to leave the big presents home so he got to open and play with them before we left.

Circus etc

This goes back to my first trimester when I spent my afternoons in bed. My little boy would come check on me every time his show ended. I woke up after two hours and knew he must have fallen asleep. He wasn't in the basement so I was concerned. I went back up to the main level and he had fallen asleep under the thickest blanket we have. Poor little guy.
We got free tickets to the circus and Thomas was not even interested. During intermission he ran around the stadium and pretended to slide or fall. We found an elevator to ride so I figured whatever. We ended up in the backstage of the circus which was cool.

It is the first time that we have been in Kansas for spring. Every time Thomas saw one of these trees he said it had "purple bugs" instead of purple buds.

Family Fun Fair

They have a Family Fun Fair on base every year. There were lots of arts and crafts inside but Thomas was not interested. He liked the petting zoo. He loved the construction vehicles that they had set up to climb in. The winner would have to be getting to ride in the fire engine.

My Birthday

Thomas helped me open all my presents! What a good helper he is!

Jan & Feb

Blogger keeps changing the order of my pictures, whatever! Logan went to Maine and Hawaii in February. Thomas and I went to the zoo while he was gone. We also kept busy inside with a few new toys from the dollar store. Thomas enjoyed playing with the snow drifts that didn't have a chance to melt in our backyard. He got his shovel out of his sandbox and shoveled the snow from one side of the yard to the other. That is my kind of playing in the snow. Thomas always has fun helping Dad wash the car.

This should cool you off

These are out of order, oh well! There is a picture of Thomas at the window when the snow is starting to fall the day before. I was not super excited to go and play out in the snow. We finally went out in the afternoon. Thomas had fun but he was done after about a half an hour. I asked him the next day if he wanted to go out and play in the snow again and he said "no." I have to admit I was kinda happy about it. hehehe I also have to point out that I taught him to throw snowballs at the tree because I didn't want them thrown at me.

Daddy's Airplane

I try to take Thomas out as long as the weather permits. In the beginning of January Daddy was flying. We got a few pictures from our backyard while he doing pattern work.

So 2011...Thomas' Concerns

Something happened in January this year, that's right I got pregnant! I went into morning sickness hibernation. Now that I am fine again I have been trying to catch up on the house and a few other things. I had a couple cute stories from Thomas that I thought I would share.

On Sunday he was in the basement and I was upstairs eating my lunch. I choked on a piece of food and then he bellowed up the stairs to me. "It is okay Mommy you are choking because you have too much food in your mouth just take some out and you will be okay!" He wasn't concerned enough to actually some upstairs but I told him I was fine. I have talked to him about putting to much food in his mouth and then choking on it, I guess it is good that he remembers.

We have been potty training since June and Thomas has done so well. Lately he has been just wetting his underwear and shorts because he is too busy to stop and go. We have been talking about not having accidents because he is going to preschool in a little over a month.
His prayer last night to bless the food. "Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Please bless the food. Help me to not have any accidents at preschool. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen." I told him that was a really good prayer and then we ate the waffles he had helped me make for dinner.

One Beautiful Day

On the Eve of New Year's Eve we had a lovely day! It was 68 in December in Kansas! Thomas and I spent all afternoon outside, until the sun went down. When Logan got home we went for a walk to Dairy Queen. This last picture I admit I had been reading my book when it had become a little too quiet and found my little guy trying to make a break for it.
