We haven't started Ellie on solids foods but we have started her on Tootsie Pops. It's not too hard to believe, but she loves them. It was so fun to watch Ellie go after her Tootsie Pop. It was educational, too. Jacob and I learned that if you give your baby something yummy, and oh so sticky, you should take them out of their clean clothes (and have several towels handy). Ellie really went to town on that sucker. She was sticky all over, including the bottom of her feet. At one point the sucker was stuck hanging off her belly. I love that little girl!
So, how many licks does it take to get to the center? Ask Ellie. I lost count.

2 More Weeks!
Only 2 more weeks of school. Thank goodness! This has been an exhausting school year. A big part of that is because I want to be home with Ellie and I just don't want to deal with other kids. Next year I will be only be working half-time. I will have the mornings (8-11) and every other Friday. I still enjoy teaching (most of the time) but I really want to raise my baby. I must say that this has been an amazing thing for Jacob. He really gets to spend a lot of time with Ellie. Even though it's been tough, I don't thing he'd trade this time for anything. I also have to say thank you to Audrey and Enos (and Samuel, Xavier, and Aurora). Without their help we would have had to put Ellie in Daycare. THANK YOU! I can't even express how comforting it has been to know that Ellie was with people who know and love her. Plus, Audrey is an awesome mom and she took care of Ellie like she was one of her own (Enos, too).
