Has Anyone Missed Me?!

I have missed myself, you know, the REAL me. School has been making me CRAZY to say the least. So I have realized that I need to be "robot woman" to get through everything that I have to do during the semesters. When I am on a break between semesters (like right now, yay!) I feel like the robot gets to go away and my regular self is back. It's like a huge load is lifted from my back when finals are over. So anywhooo...I felt like a blog catch-up! Here are some of my favorite pictures since I have been in school and haven't been able to scrapbook a single one. Yes you heard me correct, not a single one :-( I miss it SOOOO bad, but apparently robots can't scrapbook.

These are from our AWESOME family reunion in Zions. It was SO fun, and I discovered that my kids love to hike! They did a difficult 3 mile hike with me and Zac and they hiked the whole time!

I went to the UDHA convention in October and WON a $150.00 ultrasonic scaling tip, WOOHOO!! If you don't know what it is, please come and get your teeth cleaned be me, I need patients :-)

Adam boy finally got his puppy this last year. He named him Diego and he's a puggle (pug/beagle)and he's a-freakin-dorable. Adam saved up 18 DOLLARS to buy him. He is so in love with him. Me, well I have a love/hate relationship with Diego. We're working on it.

VIVA LAS VEGAS!!! Zac took me for our anniversary and it was SOOO fun. We are like, really mature when we don't have our kids with us.

I wanted to put this cause it's funny! It's a spill on my counter from something I made in the crock pot. I hadn't cleaned it up yet and I hear Allivia yell from the kitchen "*GASP* OH MOM, YOU ARE GONNA BE MAD!!!" I yelled back "what's wrong Liv?" and she says "SOMEONE DREW A DUCK ON YOUR COUNTER!!!" I'm thinking "what the heck?" so I go look and she is talking about my spill. SO FUNNY :-)

Just wanted to say, I love this girl. It's Adam's speech therapist, Ms. Stott. He loves her. She is so great with him and I am so glad she is helping my boy :-)

Well, that's the run down. There has been more exciting things but I haven't been as picture crazy since I know I won't be scrapping any time soon. Just had to check-in with the blog world while I'm on my break. See you after next semester!

So Excited!

I can't wait for Christmas! This year I am doing something special for Zac. Good thing he doesn't even know how to read my blog because I'm going to explain the whole thing! With me in hygiene school and him in nursing school to say we never get to see each other would be an understatement. I got this idea from the dating divas blog, and then personalized it and "cute-end" it up with photoshop. I am pre-planning a year of dates, every detail, right down to babysitting. I used to feel so bad that we couldn't have a date a week (like I've heard we should) that we used to just kind of say "see you next semester!" and not even try. It's been awful! We miss each other so much. So I am making these dates happen NO MATTER WHAT because once a month is better than never. So here it is. I wanted to post it just in case any one else out there is as desperate for dates as I was and wants to copy. I'll even email them to you :-) I'm going to put it in a 3 ring binder with sheet protectors. These pictures will go in the front of each one, and a corresponding gift certificate along with the date we are doing each thing on the back side of the page. Oh I hope he likes it! I tried to think of things that he would really like to do so I think it will be great!

Inside Letter:

And this I'm just putting as like an intro page:

These are the things I am putting with each one:

January- Red Robin Dinner/Movie Deal

February- BYU Basketball Tickets

March- GameStop gift card (to get a new Wii game. This is where you can CLEARLY see I'm trying to pick things he would enjoy :-) LOL)

April- Miracle Bowl gift card

May- Comedy Sportz gift certificate

June- ??? A condom? HAHAHA

July- Subway gift card

August- Trafalga Diamond Date card

September- Cinemark gift card

October- This one is big and I haven't purchased it yet (cause this is probably a purchase he should know about) but it is going to be a night at the Anniversary Inn and dinner at the Roof Restaurant in SLC. Since it's clear in October, I figured I'll just make sure it's a priority to buy this sometime before it comes up.

November- Laser Assault gift card

December- I got a gift card to Iggy's sports bar because I've heard it's good, it has giant TV's so I assume Zac will like it, and we've never been there!

Some of them are cheesy, I know. But rhyming is freaking hard sometimes!

Merry Christmas everyone!

It's Been Nuts

Hello. Yes, I am alive. Barely. I've just survived my second semester of Dental Hygiene School. Just wanted to post an update now that I'm on Christmas break. I was accepted to UCDH (Utah College of Dental Hygiene) and started in May of this year. It's an accelerated Bachelors degree program that I am so SO lucky to be in. I just can't wait to be done. I really love school. Last week I had 5 finals in 3 days. The semester before I had 8 finals in 3 days. But it's going fast and I already like, 150 clinical hours under my belt. So...if anyone wants their teeth cleaned, I start taking patients again next semester :-)

Here are some pictures of the crazy fun that happens at school:

3 semesters to go. Can't wait!

Summerfest

We went to Orem's city days celebration last weekend with our good friends the Cleavers! Allivia LOVES their little girl Londyn and so we try to get them together as much as we can! When we got to the Carnival, we ate dinner and waited for the parade to start. The kids loved the candy-throwing. Adam loved the firetrucks and sirens and Allivia liked the princess floats. After the parade, we hit the carnival for some rides. The kids had such a good time and it was so fun to hang out and not think about school!

Alisha, Keltie, and Me

Livi and Londyn

Adam felt so cool he gave me this awesome face on the motorcycle!

These are the girls real faces when the fireworks started going off! I thought it was so funny, no posing they were just super impressed. Liv is holding the umbrella so that there would be no fireworks able to land on them. LOL

WHAT?!?!

Ok so as most of you know, Zac has been trying to get into the nursing program for YEARS. The program at UVU is SO competitive, and they only accept 60 (out of hundreds and HUNDREDS) students at a time. It's crazy. Zac has excellent grades and does well on the tests. It feels impossible to get in.Last year about this time, he applied to a program we thought would be just perfect for us. A rare chance to get his RN degree FROM HOME! It was an online nursing program through Weber State University. He would have to drive to Weber periodically throughout the semester for clinicals and tests and things, but that's it. Well, we got a letter from them shortly after we applied saying, "Sorry, there was not enough interest in this program. If you are interested in being considered for this program next year, please sign and return the enclosed form." So he did.In the meantime, he applied to and was denied from UVU twice. So he decides no more nursing school. It's too hard. He was taking and re-taking classes over and over to compete for spots he was losing by FRACTIONS of a point. So, we move to Orem and he changes his major and gets all excited about being in the BIOTECHNOLOGY program at UVU. I was excited too! He was already in, no competing, and it seemed to be something he would really like.
Lo and behold, what do we get when we open our mailbox today?Yep. He's been accepted to Weber State's nursing program. As soon as we call it quits, he gets in! Why didn't we give up 2 years ago?! LOL Oh my heck what do we do? He's already got his mind set toward a biotech degree, and now this.
Me, I'm giddy. I have felt like school will NEVER be over. Now we are on the road to something, Go Zac! Go Wildcats! YAY!

Adam

My baby turned 3 on January 5th and I totally missed it here on my blog :-(
I love Adam so much. I can't believe how fast he is growing. He makes me smile every single day. I'm so glad that he is in our family. Don't know what I'd do without him.
Here's my little man. Isn't he adorable? Here is my scrapbook layout of him :-)
