I am writing this post in advance, so I'm not sure where we are or what we are doing.
But I'm pretty sure we're loving it.

Christmas 2013
I really do think it's funny to blog about Christmas in May. (Not only May, but DAYS before my birthday, in case you forgot.)
But, alas, I am determined to share all my pictures from last year, and this is the final group from 2013. (Then I'll have to catch up 2014, but that's another story.)
Christmas 2013 was pretty darn good. We spoiled ourselves, and with our gift of developed film rolls, there was excitement and anticipation as well.
My big gift to Jack was Alcatraz tickets. He's always wanted to go, so I thought it would be awesome to set it up. We went for his birthday, obviously.
One of many highlights from the day was a caramel apple pie we bought from a local pie company, Levi's Pies. If you are local and have not tried them, google them and order IMMEDIATELY. This pie will change your life.
So, early morning gifts, hot chocolate, and caramel apple pie made for a pretty great Christmas.
I want that pie right now and might very well get one for my birthday. What a great idea!

Thanksgiving 2013
I had two goals last Thanksgiving:
1-Take pictures of humans
2-Use my 50 mm fixed lens
I succeeded doing both, but a lot of my pictures are of D'On's new (soon-to-be) adopted kiddos, so I can't post them yet. They are adorable, too, which makes it a shame. Another day.
(I did not succeed with manual focus, fyi. Sorry... I need to practice and have not been.)
From Thanksgiving in Las Vegas, November 2013:
P.S. I think blogger is automatically "touching up" my pictures. I haven't processed these at all, but my face looks plastic in the above picture, don't you think?? Weird.
