Last Minute Contest Entries

I really should be working on getting Kaylee's new room ready for her so we can move the girls to their new sleeping arrangements before the new baby comes, but I was still in a scrappin' mood and David was off to the YM/YW New Year's Activity, so I decided to do some last minute entries for the contests on the PageMaps Blog.
***
This page is for the sketch contest using the following sketch...

And I created a companion page to go with it - using January's Reflections Challenge (Bottom Border - Portrait on page 28)

So here they are together - I used one of my favorites, the Cocoa Cafe paper, Cranberry Safety Pins and Brads, Cocoa Grosgrain and Colonial White RicRac ribbons, Classic Alphabet Dimensional Elements and Color Ready Alphabets (stamped with Spot On Background)

And since my girls are such goofballs and love to take silly pictures, I had some extra pictures that I wanted to include, so I put them in a 6 pocket Photo Page (cut in half) and they will go in between the above pages.

This card is for Brailee since she is just so drawn to owls for some reason right now. This is for the Hero Arts card sketch contest - we were to use the following sketch...

I used CTMH's NEW Emporium paper and the Whooo Loves You stamp set with Cocoa Brads for the eyes.

Imagine & Reflections Challenges

Yes! I finally completed this month's challenges! I haven't scrapped for myself in over a month, I've been too busy doing gifts, so it felt good to get some pages for our personal books done, plus get a couple more done for this year's Scrap Counter. Here are the pages that I did for this month's Imagine and Reflections Challenges...
***
Imagine - using Magic Moments paper, Rustic Alphabet, Color Ready Alphabet (stamped with a background stamp from Adorable Background), and fun Hollyhock Arrows and Cocoa Brads.

Reflections - using the NEW Daydream paper pack, plus NEW Framed Fun Dimensional Elements (stamped with stamps from the Circle Around set). I had planned on leaving a pocket for a journaling tag, but got a little adhesive happy and glued the entire layout together before I remembered, so I added my journaling along the edge. And suprise, I used my own handwriting! I really don't like my writing, but I'm glad I was able to include it, I really should do it more often! I'm thinking of adding something to the top left corner of the picture - I feel like this page is missing something since I don't have a large title - any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks for looking!

Happy Birthday, Brailee!

I can't believe my baby is 2 - she is growing up too fast!!! Brailee has such a fun personality and she is such a smart little girl. She enjoys playing with her sisters and she loves babies, so she will be fun when the new one comes along! Here is a little flashback...

Baby Calendar

My dear friend (pictured here with our baby bumps) had her baby a couple weeks ago - here is the gift that I made for her. It's a calendar to capture baby's first year. I've bought one for each of my girls when they were babies, but never thought of making one until now. The only thing I didn't think about before I started is that is has to be a 13 month calendar in order to get the full year, so I had to un-bind it and add an extra calendar page and then re-bind it. I worked each page around the Dazzling Die-Cuts (Spring Harmony collection) and used just three different sets of papers from CTMH, Heaven Sent (retired), Sweet Harmony, and Sweet Pea. When she is done with the calendar, she can either leave it as is, or cut each page out and it will fit in a 12x12 album.

The front of the calendar has her name, birth info, and space for a small family tree.

Christmas Flashback

I've had fun looking back at old Christmas pics - of course, I could only go back to 2004 since our computer crashed in January of 2004 and we lost everything digital before that ;-P but I think I have some 35mm pics somewhere from those years - I hope so anyway! I hope everyone enjoys this holiday season!

Angels

My mom sent these angel ornaments for the girls - isn't she so talented! Thanks, Mom, the girls love their new ornaments!

And here are my little angels with their new angels!

Here is another angel ornament inspired/taught to me by my mom - imagine that ;-) like I said before, she's a very talented lady! I call these Rag Angels - they are made from a bit of muslin, cotton stuffed in the head, ribbon, and gold wire.
