December and a Merry Christmas

December has been a busy month. On the 11th cute Paisley had her first birthday. She got a couple of girl toys since the majority of our toys have been for boys.

Jenny and I then went to the annual holiday party for Apollo Group. It was at the Biltmore this year so we decided to stay the night...a mini vacation from the kids. It's nice to sleep in but you end up missing them so after breakfast at T.C. Eggintons we hurried home to pick them up.

Well and before you knew it it was Christmas morning. Jenny and I always enjoy this time of the year. We set up a secret camera to try and capture Ol'e Saint Nick and as luck would have it we got him...just see above for proof.

That next day Paisley started to stand up by heself. I guess this means walking is around the corner. Not so sure we want that to happen just yet. She is growing up too fast.

On Saturday the 26th we got to use Grandma and Grandpas Christmas gift. We all went to see the Nutcracker ballet in our new suits just see how good looking Brennen and Tate are all done up. It was a great time I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.

So here we are the end of 2009 drawing near now is the time to remember the good times and to think ahead of what we can accomplish this next year. I hope to cut down on work time and up the family time.

The holidays are here

It never fails to suprise just how fast time goes by. Today is December 11th 2009 and one year ago today Paisley was born. This is all happening too fast. Although she's not ready to start walking she does hold up her one finger when we ask her how old she is and that's a couple cute points in my book.

Tate is still lovin life in his own world. This is a picture Jenny took taking Brennen to school, Tate is wearing my ASU hooded sweatshirt because it was too cold outside.

This past Wednesday Brennen had his Christmas concert where he sang with all the 1st and 2nd graders from his school. This isn't the best pic but it's all I have on my phone.

As a family we made our way back to the Phoenix light parade. We, I, decided it would be fun to take the light rail out there so we wouldn't have to worry about parking and traffic. It wasn't too bad, just a wee packed on the way home. This picture is Jen and the boys on the way home next to their new BFF sleeping guy.

Latest

Thinking of the latest and greatest the note worthy news would include...Tate ended his soccer season. He had one official goal and it was a good one. Being coach is fun but the added level of stress trying to make everyone happy adds up. We had a great team. (Tate, Cooper, Kayla, Devin, Spencer, Ryan, Carter, Colton, Isaac, and Oscar).

We also had Paisley go under the knife, well it was a very minor surgery but still scary having your baby girl go under. She did great and was just fine after she found her blanket. The nurses seemed to love her so she seemed very well cared for. She is doing great and is back to her regulary fun happy self.

Brennen is still doing great in skateboarding. We recently went to the Chandler skate park with Devan and he did great. I'll have to post pics and video of everyone when I get to my PC.
And finally Jen and I are just enjoying every crazy moment from our three very unique kids.

Public Service Announcement

I'm just as guilty as many of you but please don't let this be you. Remember you're children and try to leave your phone at home or at least out of sight. And for full disclosure this is the cover of this months New Yorker magazine the work of artist Chris Ware. Otherwise enjoy your Halloween.

On the run again

I was looking for "an app" for me to help write in my wonderful blog and I think I'll test this out.
I'll just quickly relate a story Tater's teacher said about Tate, apparently he was tapping a boy in his class on the shoulder trying to get his attention after a few taps and Tate saying "dude" (one of his favorite words) he finally told him that he had a twin...just one of the many random crazoddities we love about Tate.

Tate!

Tate is in soccer and he made his first goal! Everyone was so excited for him the kids were picking him up! We like to refer to it as being at the right place at the right time! He usually gets really tired and it requires coach aka Neil or Chris to bring him in cause he is to tired to walk! You gotta love Tater and anything that comes out of that kids mouth RANDOM! We went to Chikfila the other day and Tate went to ask for a drink of water and when the lady gave him one he told her you're a sweetheart!

Soccer and singing

What a fun weekend. The fun started Saturday, I think I've mentioned that I am coaching Tate's YMCA soccer team but if not let's start the story there. The decision to coach was last minute and long story short there was a slight mix up in the scheduling and our PK-K team has played two 1st and 2nd grade teams. The first week mix up was understandable but this second week was frustrating. We got steam rolled by a bigger better team and you know how parents get. We have had a couple flakey experiences with the YMCA. I really enjoy being out there for the kids and Tater, poor guy gets too tired but it is so fun watching play. We decided not to put Brennen in soccer this season because we have him in a skateboardng class. He really likes it and is doing really well. I need to get to the skate park with him. He is so busy lately with wantng to skate, play baseball, play soccer, pokemon, bakugon and school. These kids are growing up too fast. They agreed yesterday to start taking anti-growing pills...
Lastly yesterday was the Primary program. Both Brennen and Tate did great and had their parts memorized unlike other kids in their classes.

Use my travel time wisely

Since I never update my "blog" I thought I would try my phone when riding the light rail home. Let this be the test run.
Well life marches on faster than ever before. The holiday season is nearly upon us and I could use some cooler weather. I know the kids would like to be outside more but it's hard to sit in this heat.
You know it wouldn't be a train ride without the guy next to asleep, the social madman who talks to you even when you try your hardest to bury your face in a book or phone in my case and the cell phone loud talker who honestly believes we want to listen to "can you hear me?" 10 times in that high puzzled voice.
Now that we know this works till the next ride to fill in the details.

Where have you been?

Many have asked where is the love? Well there is no real answer or excuse but I'll try and sum up my life over these past 6 months...? A new school year has started for the two boys. Brennen is now in 1st grade and Tater is in a preschool here close by. I'm always amazed at how smart Brennen is both with math and memorizing poems, talks etc...Tater is always winning over fans all over with his personality. Both are really excited and doing well. Paisley is just over 8 months and has been starting her crawling duties. Everything needs to be picked or Paisley proof as the boys are learning the hard way with their paper airplanes that get chewed up.
Jenny and I had a pretty good summer, my best friend after 30 years decided to buy a boat and we've had a good time making sure good times are had on the lake. We also made our annual trip up to yee-Ha Utah for Little Valley Days some how the fireworks keep us coming back even though Jen puts up a good fight each year. What makes the drive worth it is the Dam Race. This year Jenny really improved her time by close to 10 minutes...I only seemed to shave off about 1 minute on my time. Lets not forget that us lowlanders are traveling up to 5200 feet to make the fun run.
Other notable events include our baby humming bird, my dad retired from the Chandler Fire Department and both boys had birthdays that we fun.
Lets hope I'll be back sooner than last time.

I'm back

Who knew it would take so long? Well Jenny said I would never add anything but here I am. So what has happened these last couple of mounths? Well long story short, not much. Paisley is growing up too fast. We told Brennen that we were going to pause them and keep them from getting any older and he told us that he wanted to get to 16 then we could pause them. Both Brennen and Tater had birthdays, Brennen is now 6 and Tater is 4. When asked about how old he was at our wards chili cook off he leaned over to Jenny asked if he was still 4.

This is what we've all been waiting for

Well here it is. After much fan fare and over hyped anticipation the Neil and Jenny Ellsworth family have started their blog. Now Jen is right next to me and if she knew what I was doing she would kill me but I fear the world’s cries for our debut compels me to officially start our “Look world how wonderful my our life is blog” so we can link up with the worlds blog stalkers and allows those truly concerned with our well being to stay up to date on all our doings.
Jen always said that if we started a blog it would be left to me to maintain it and keep it up to date. So here I am all alone Live From Mésaco.
