I do have a layout to share with you today.  It was for last Saturday's {color} challenge over at My Scraps and More.  I was inspired by the beautiful yellows, greys & aquas in Echo Park's Happy Little Moments line.  It contains lots of journaling spots that are different shapes.  They layer very well, so that's what I did here.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I hope you'll try out for ScrapFIT's DT...it's a lot of fun!  Have a wonderful Saturday :)

ScrapFIT Warm-Up #34 + some My Scraps pages

Good Thursday morning, friends!  I feel like I don't blog enough these days.  Things are just super busy right now and I'm hardly having any time to scrap.  Mom duties are taking front and center these days.  I'm the PTO president at my daughters' school, and let me tell you...it takes up quite a lot of time.  We have a Christmas event coming up that has been taking some time to plan.  I'm trying to squeeze in scrappy time whenever I can, and today is one of those days...yay!

Here is the December Warm-Up from ScrapFIT.  It's a fun one...all you have to do is CREATE  A SCENE of some sort on your project. You can create a sky, some grass, hills, add a sun, a moon, some trees & leaves...there really are a lot of possibilities.  My sample is very simple...it went in a completely different direction than I originally planned.  It didn't turn out nearly as messy as I wanted.  That's okay...I like that the cute photos are the main focus :)  I also got to break in my new Cameo!  It's an early Christmas gift from my amazing husband...woo hoo!  I love that it cuts words & fonts...it's awesome!

If you want to play along with this challenge, head on over & upload your project to the ScrapFIT linky.  If you win, you'll be featured in our FITGirl Spotlight!

I also wanted to share a few pages I made in recent weeks for My Scraps and More.  This first one was for last week's {play}challenge to make something CROOKED on your layout.  I love not having things straight all the time, so I made my paper crooked as well as my photos.  These are Acorn Avenue papers from Crate Paper.

This page was created from a sketch by the lovely Kristine Davidson for the My Scraps Sketches blog.  A new sketch goes up every Friday, and there are prizes up for grabs!  Check it out HERE. I got some Echo Park So Happy Together pages on Black Friday...a line I never bought before.  I love it!

Here's the sketch:

I thank you so much for visiting me today...I hope you have a wonderful day :)

ScrapFIT #81 - Thankful

Happy Saturday, scrappy friends!  December 1st is here (already) and that means a new ScrapFIT workout for you!  This is Workout #81 and it's all about being THANKFUL.  All you have to do is create a project showcasing something you're thankful for...easy, right?

I love these silly pictures of my two girls from two years ago.  It was almost Halloween and we had visited the pumpkin patch earlier in the day, and these shots are from going to dinner afterward.  They always make the goofiest faces!  Looking at these photos reminded me just how grateful I am to have them & their silly senses of humor :)  So my page is a thankful / Halloween page.

The winner of this Workout will receive the new December FITKit from Paper Issues! Check out the awesome buttons in this kit...they were specially designed by Leah Farquharson (Paper Issues DT member) and her store Bluebird Chic.

As always, you can enter to win, but you can also head over to Paper Issues right now and purchase one of these kits.  Use the code FITKIT to get 20% off your purchase!

The ScrapFIT DT created some beauties...you should head on over to the blog HERE and check out their pages!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend :)

Challenge Me Happy #35 - a lift

Yay...the weekend is here!  December is upon us, and that means a whole new set of challenges for you!  I know this month is very busy for all of us, but I hope you have a little bit of spare time to squeeze in a layout or two.

Challenge #35 is up at Challenge Me Happy, and it's a lift of one of the amazing layouts from Annelie Maddock.

Here is her awesome page.  I love the white space...something I don't do too often.

And here is my lift. While I'm not completely overjoyed with my layout, I do love the colors of these papers.  I had some very old MME Alphabet Soup that I hadn't used yet.  I toyed with adding another title, but then I decided to let the Smile bubble be the title.  I feel like it's missing something.  Oh well...it is what it is, right?  We can't be happy with every single one of our pages...

I hope you'll visit the blog HERE and check out what the other DT members created...so many different takes on the original page!  The winner gets to be a Guest Designer next month!  Woo hoo!

Thanks for visiting me...I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Members' Challenges @ My Scraps & More

Wow...how did a whole week go by since I last posted anything?!  Oh, yeah...Thanksgiving happened!  I hope everyone is doing well out there in scrappy bloggy land.  This time of year is so busy, and I feel like I haven't had any scrappy time lately.  I do have a few pages that I made for various goings-on at My Scraps and More that I need to share here.

I made this page for one of the Members' Crop Challenges.  It was a 3-2-1 challenge...use three different specific patterned papers (plaid, dots & stripes), use two of something from a specific list (I used bling & ribbon) and then use one type of ink.  I splattered some spray ink off the end of a paint brush.  I loved the primary colors going on in the photos, so I pulled my papers, ribbon & washi tape from that.

This page was also for one of the challenges.  It started with a sketch, and we were to use flowery paper & flowers.  I didn't have any ribbon or flowers in the pretty teal color, so I misted some white ribbon & flowers with my Mister Huey's Water Cooler.  It matched perfectly!  I can't believe I didn't splatter any paint on this one...the more I look at it, the more I think I need too....

This page was made for a different sketch challenge.  I used some On Trend from Crate Paper...one of my faves lately!  I used a mask and some Tim Holtz ink to create my background.  I used a loopy loop stamp to create the border.

What a fun crop this was!  I wish I could have played along with more of the challenges, but I just ran out of time.  The first of the month is coming up, which means new challenges & reveals!  Stay tuned for some fun with ScrapFIT and Challenge Me Happy!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

New monthly KITS at My Scraps & More, plus a few pages

Hey there, scrappy friends!  Before I get started with my post, I wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who visits my blog.  I truly love reading your comments, and honestly, I'm floored by most of them!  When I started blogging, I just wanted a place to upload my pages so I could enter into challenges.  Over time, I've realized that creating pages is a lot more than that...I've discovered the whole concept of "inspiration" and creating because it's something that comes from within you.  I'm so inspired by so many other scrappers, and I really never thought that my work would inspire anyone.  Reading your comments means the world to me, and if you're inspired by one little piece of my creations, then I'm completely flattered and honored!  Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to visit me.

I don't know if you've heard, but My Scraps and More has started offering monthly kits!  Tammi has put together TWO Christmas kits for this month...one is full of bright colors & patterns while the other one is more classic reds & greens.  Take a look at them both....

Sugarplums Kit ($24.99)

Classic Christmas ($29.99)

These kits are awesome...our DT got to play with them.  Click HERE for more information.  Click HERE to purchase one in the store.  You can get 20% off the kits if you use the code MISSY20!!  Woo Hoo!!  I made four layouts with the Sugarplums kit, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!  It's so bright and just my style!

My first page is full of bright colors & patterns!  A few years ago, I remember thinking all my Christmas pages HAD to have only red & green in the papers...not anymore!  I love the pink & aqua in this mix.  And it helps that my daughter had a lime green shirt on!  A perfect match :)  This page is based on an exclusive Jenny Evans sketch that comes in the kit!

Next up is one I created using photos from two years ago.  My youngest had just started walking. One of the papers in the kit is full of fun Christmas sayings, and I knew that I wanted to use "Walking in a Winter Wonderland" as my title.  However, we live in Florida, and there is no such thing as a "winter wonderland"...haha!  So I added my own flair to change up the title.

This is a page featuring pictures of my youngest not giving two cares that she's meeting Santa!  She wasn't interested in him at all.  He came to visit her school, and I was there to help out that day.  I used a lot of the cute Crate Paper tags & journaling blocks for this one, as well as some of the Crate Paper border strips.

My last page is of a photo of all of us with Santa from 2010.  Both girls wanted nothing to do with him...so hubby and I wound up being in the photo with them.  We weren't planning on being in the picture, so we didn't dress the part at all...but it wound up being a funny memory.  I know it's hard to see, but the looks on both of their faces are priceless!  This page is a mix of Crate Paper & Echo Park.

If you're interested in ordering either of these kits, you can order either of them from the store right HERE!  Very reasonable prices for some awesome scrappy goodness :)

Also.........there is a Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale going on right now, and you can get 55% off of most items in the store!!  Yes....55%!!!!!  That's a KILLER sale!!  Get over there NOW!!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

{4} My Scraps pages!

***If you're here for the ScrapFIT Blog Hop, click HERE***

Hey there!  I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far.  It's a beautiful Saturday here.  I have a busy day planned, but I wanted to hop on and share a few pages I created for various challenges at My Scraps and More.

First up is a page I created using the Hopscotch collection from Fancy Pants.  This actually went up on the My Scraps blog HERE about two weeks ago and I just never got around to posting it here!  Shame on me.  I love the bright colors in this collection...so bold & cheerful.  This was based on a {lift}challenge that also required a photo of someone laughing.  For me, that's easy because I have to silly geese who do nothing but laugh...haha!

Next up is a layout I created for my Sunday blog post last week.  I broke out the For the Record Documented line from Echo Park again...I just LOVE this line!  So many fun patterns & colors...

Here's one I created using very old products from K & Company.  This was for a {stash}challenge to use up some of your old ribbon and/or rick rack.  I used some modeling paste over a "love" mask and just repeated it over and over.  Then I lightly went over it with yellow paint on my finger.  Sometimes I like to use colors that remind me of baby girls...this was from a baby girl stack!

Last up is a page I created based on Sketch #3 at the My Scraps Sketch Blog HERE.  I used some of the delicious MME The Sweetest Thing collection...have you ever seen more yummy colors?!  I love how this page turned out :)

Wow...that was a lot of pages!  Tomorrow is my reveal day at My Scraps and More...the DT has been sharing projects made with the new monthly kits!  I can't wait to share mine...I made four pages from it and still have product left over.  Check them out HERE in the store!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!
