I heart blogging!

Okay so I just have to say that blogging is my new favorite talent. Is it a talent? Can I call it that? Anyway, I haven't enjoyed a hobby so much since I can't remember when... So,just wanted to let everybody know how much I love posting about my family and reading about yours.

Quiet Surprise

During Ellie's nap, Matt and I had been cleaning while Emma and Brady watched TV (or so we thought)...this is what we found.

Caught in the Storm!

My friend Hayley and I were 2 miles from our house when a storm hit. The rain was torrential and the lightning frightening, but we made it home.

What a Concert!

Matt and I had a neat experience last night. During their two week tour, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir performed near Cleveland at Blossom Music Center. It's a huge outdoor amphitheater in the middle of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. You feel as if you're in the middle of the forest. They were amazing - they even danced! Also...they taped Music and the Spoken Word for the week during the performance. It was an awesome experience. It was also really fun to see the majority of concert goers (yes...they had to buy costly tickets) were not members of the church. Overall it was a very uplifting and enjoyable night. I now want their CD America's Choir for my Birthday.

Michigan

We took a weekend trip to Michigan to visit Emma's best friend ever (and our good friends too) - the Bean Family. There are about 6 families we were friends with Iowa who have recently moved to Michigan for their residencies. So....we basically partied all weekend. A few of the highlights included the adult only go kart racing experience we had at midnight on Friday night and our Saturday picnic at the beach.

As you can see, Emma had...well...a little too much fun in the sun :) poor kid

Who Can Resist Ice Cream?

Ellie and Alysse decided they wanted ice cream too. They were hillarious and were covered head to toe in chocolate ice cream. We had to wash them off in the lake, but we made lots of fun memories on our weekend trip to Michigan.

New Trick

She is so proud of herself. This is her new favorite thing. It's not in order because I'm new at blogging, but there really is a sequence to the pictures.

Cape Cod Lighthouses

Stacy and I really enjoyed hunting these lighthouses down in Cape Cod. We had a great time and highly recommend it. We flew into Providence, RI and drove up to Dennisport, Massachusetts and stayed at a nice bed and breakfast that is right on the ocean. We also had some really good seafood of course.

My Favorite Statue

I am so glad we got to all go on the church history trip. I'm sure Hawaii or Mexico would have been nice, but learning more about the gospel and strengthening my testimony was priceless.

Safety Certified!

Our School District provides a 1 week Safety Town Camp (free) for all incoming Kindergarteners. Emma spent the week learning fire, police, street, gun, school bus, stranger, car, bicycle safety and much more! She escaped a burning smoke house, toured the local jail cell, helped a fireman spray water on a fire, told a stranger at the park that she didn't want to pet his dog etc... Anyway, they learned all sorts of safety songs with the help of Officer Gayle and they had a graduation ceremony and show.

Strawberries are in Season at the Eagar's

The kids picked their first strawberries from their plants that are behind them in this pic. They hurried and washed them so they could eat them. We look forward to many more.

What is it about Princesses?

Emma loves to have the friends over. This doesn't happen very often, so when it does, they go all out.
