A Visit With Julia Belle
I dressed up in my Pooh coat and hopped in Goldie's car to go for a visit to see the daughter of a colleague of Goldie's. We went to see Julia Belle. Julia Belle was like any other 13 year-old until a year ago Oct.1st when a car accident changed her life forever. They were on vacation over the National Day holiday when they were involved in a terrible car accident which left Julia Belle a paraplegic. She's spent the last year in three different hospitals having two surgeries, and has only recently returned home to our city. Now, she's in a wheelchair. She has broad arm movements, and can breath on her own. She giggled when I entered her room. She even stroked me with her arm. I danced for her and showed her some tricks. Lady brought her some books and read to her. She likes to study English. As a matter of fact, her dad is an English teacher at the senior middle school. Maureen has a cousin in Canada who is also a paraplegic and even works for a paraplegic association. She gave Maureen the name of a help organization in our capital city. She is also getting her some penpals. Tomorrow, Maureen will go visit her and take her outside. Maybe I will visit her again as well. I can lick her hands and make her smile!

I hope you enjoy good leftovers as well! Lady and I stayed in the warm bed this morning, and phoned our friends. Okay, she talked, I slept. My uncle called at 1:00 AM! I slept, Lady talked. This morning, she spoke with friends in Japan and Arizona, and family in Texas. We stretched out the holiday! We walked off some of our big dinner this morning, as well! Lady ate pumpkin pie for breakfast!

Happy Thanksgiving! We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner tonight with 14 guests. How do you like my new sweater? Jenny's sister knit it just for me. Maureen said I look like a GQ dog! I like turkey!! We all said what we were thankful for. We have so many blessings from God.We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, too!

I've been a busy little dog. I went on vacation to Betty's for a couple of nights. Betty has a mosquito tent over her bed. I like that. When she practices the piano, I lie down underneath. Sometimes I sing along. I don't know why she laughs at my singing. I was so happy to see Lady when she came to pick me up. I cleaned her face good! Even though it was time to go to Saturday night English Corner, Lady took me home ot my own bed. Little dogs still aren't allowed in public places. Lady doesn't want to take a chance that the police will snatch me away. Well, anyway, Lady brought home a turkey. Thanksgiving is coming! I had turkey at Christmas last year and I really liked it. We're having lots of company for Thanksgiving. Lady has been teaching about Thanksgiving in all of her classes this week. She went to the #2 middle school today and taught another 140 students and six teachers. She took a photo of me with her. She said the students liked seeing my photo, the one where I am busy at the computer writing my blog. Gratitude isn't big here. Humans don't say thank you very much here. Lady hopes the students will not only be thankful for their blessings, but know the One to be thankful to. Lady is thankful for many things, including me! I am thankful for Lady, meat, my fuzzy blanket, meat, my toys, Lady's fuzzy blanket, meat, treats, my chair, my coats on a cold day, meat, Betty and Julia, Belle, Michael and Tom, meat, and my nice home. What are you thankful for?

Lady says I shouldn't laugh at old ladies. Well, I am used to their tai ji, and tai ji jian (with the swords), and their fan dancing with the red fans. I've even gotten used to the paddle with balls, although I always watch for when they drop the ball! But this is just too much! Pink balls and tippy toes! Yapyapyapyapyap!

We are so happy that Claude finally has a girlfriend. Maybe they will get married. She also works for the railroad company. She teaches the engineers at the railroad college. Claude trains the engineers how to work the computers that drive the trains! Joe and Margaret came as well.We all like Sabrina, because she likes Claude.
