Thursday Digi Project from Susan R

Hi! Susan R here!

This is my special Thursday Digi Project!!

Today I have used - digi Christmas Row of Scotties

While posting my last digi make for Little Claire here
I showed you a very easy way of printing your digi to a different size.

Today I am going to show you a way of resizing your image to a particular size in Word.

I wanted to use the prefolded card bases shown in the picture -
 these make a card 21cm by 8cm.

Open a blank page in Word and click Insert Picture - Find where you have saved your image on your computer.

This brings up the image with a menu box to the side. Click 'See More...' bottom right.

Click 'Size' at the top. This tells you the image is 15.92 by 5.3 cm. We want it a little larger. Make sure that 'Lock aspect ratio' and 'Relative to original picture size' are checked to make sure the picture stays in the same ratio.

Click the up arrow of one dimension to make it larger. The other dimension will increase to match.
I have stopped at about 18 by 6 cm. Click OK to confirm.

This can now be printed this size - It can be moved about and copied and pasted to make better use of the card - but that's another lesson!

I printed it twice to make my two cards...I coloured the images with Promarkers, trimmed them and used some scraps of DP to layer the images.
I added ribbon to the green version and buttons to the blue version...

Do have a look at Little Claire to see the whole set of digi stamps!

Happy Crafting!!

Sparkly Snowmen - Quickie card

Hello and good morning - well I've made it an eight week half term - Halloween Disco later today for the "little ones" then half terms beckons for me...and chill.

I am hoping to have loads of crafting time over the week to come - have some newbies to play with from Little Claire - ssh unable to share as yet but they are as lovely and gorgeous as ever and not Christmas...

On with today's make - Three Sparkly Snowmen - yes they are bright and cheery - not quite ready to think cold and dark....they really are a happy and vibrant trio.  So on with today's recipe:

Ingredients:

148mm x 148mm white base card LC
Dark metallic grey card for matting and layering
Mementos black ink pad
Tag punch
Pro Markers:  moss green, lime green, poppy, cool grey 1 and 4 and pastel blue
Red 10mm satin edge organza ribbon
Black adhesive pearls, fine white glitter and lime brad.

Method:

Stamp image as shown onto white stamping card and trim to 10cm x 10cm. Stamp Happy Christmas onto small individual punched tags. Outline all with lime green promarker.
Matt red snowfall paper 138mm x 138mm and stamped image onto grey metallic card 142mm x 142mm and 105mm x 105mm

Create a triple bow using organza ribbon and fasten around the matted backing papers.
Adhere stamped matted image as shown using 3D foam pads to add dimension.  Fix tag sentiments using small brad.
Colour image using promarkers.
Carefully shade round stamped images with blue pastel promarker – this adds dimension.

Add tiny black crystals and fine glitter to accent.

Fix card topper to base card using double sided tape.

Hope you have enjoyed by cheerful make.  Cheerio from me for today xxGaynor

Snowman Kisses - Thursday Digi-Stamp Blog Project using Christmas Scottie with Snowman

Good Morning Everyone!

It's Sarah here with a new Digi-Stamp Project. I have used part of the Digi-Stamp - Christmas Scottie with Snowman.

I love this stamp and knew the Snowman would be perfect for the project I wanted to share with you all - Snowman Kisses.

A cute way to package some Tic Tacs as little stocking fillers.

Here is a list of materials and products I used for this card:

Smooth white Card Stock - to print on
Blue Card Stock
Ribbon
Paper Trimmer
Corner Rounding Punch
1" Circle punch or 1" Circle Die and Die cutting Machine
Glue, Cellotape and Glue Dots

Firstly I cropped the Digi-Image in Photoshop Elements (program was free with laptop) The screenshots below show how I did this ...

Crop Tool

Highlight the area to crop down to
Using Eraser tool "rub out" the black lines we don't need - like the snow lines
To create an A4 page - Go to File - Blank File and Select
Select Preset and choose International Paper. Then select the A4 option to create a new page
Then drag over your Snowman to the blank sheet. You can now copy and paste him to fill the page.

I cropped and resized the Digi-stamp to fit a 1 3/4”x 2 ¾” box I had created.
Once I copied and pasted lots of snowmen - I used the paint bucket tool to colour in the images. I also put the poem (see end of post) into a box and pasted it a few times ready to cut out once printed.

Cut a piece of blue card stock 4 1/2" x 3"
Score each of these piece 2" from the left edge, and 2" from the right edge (you will have a 1/2" spine in the center of each piece of paper). Round the edges of the blue card and the right side of the digi-stamp once it's been cropped to size.

Cut a piece of coordinating ribbon about 14" long and tape it down to the front of the blue card stock. I left the ribbon loose at the back so it ties easily - and glue down the snowman panel over the taped ribbon.

Punch out the snowman's belly with a 1" circle punch. (Or if like me you couldn't find a punch you can die cut the circle using a die cutting machine!)

Then crop and glue the poem to the inside panel of the packaging and using glue dots pop the Tic Tacs in place.

Then tie the ribbon in a bow to complete the project.

Here is the poem for inside the Tic Tac box ...

Snowman Kisses
He’s cute, cuddly
and full of good wishes.
He wants to give you
these snowman kisses!

Thanks for stopping by to take a look, hope you enjoyed the project Snowman Kisses!

3 Little Stamps, Lots of Ways...

designed by Helen Nile
Thought we would share this ingenious set of stamps with you today.  It's our new set of Dinkies Tree O of Birds stamps, £2.00 each, the birdhouse No 1 here,  row of house No 2 here and the branch No 3 here or all 3 for only £5.00.  There are so many ways in which you can use these.  We love the way Helen has stamped out all three images in a row (see above) to make an on going scene.

designed by Gaynor Bloor
Here, Gaynor has used all the images separately, added Glossy Accents  to the birdhouse and houses and some fine glitter to add a bit of sparkle.   'A little bird told me' sentiment completes the card perfectly. Very tweet sweet.

designed by Diane
We did say you can use the stamps in lots of ways - just look at how Diane has mixed it up. FAB!
Of course you can just use each stamp individually as Lynsey has below:

designed by Lynsey
Simply gorgeous, thanks Lynsey.

Guess what?  Yes, it's COMPETITION TIME again!  We have three sets of Tree O of Birds stamps to give away. Simply complete the sentence 'If I were a bird I would fly away to....'  The 3 lucky winners will be announced next Thursday 29 October.
Here's what the team say:

Hurry and get your entries in so that we can dream away!

Christmas Organiser

Morning guy's !!

Got a little christmas friday project for you today using Little Claires Christmas Snowmen stamp set !!

Its a christmas organiser wallet and anyone who knows me knows I badly need one as I am NEVER organised for anything !!

When you open it up there are four pockets and pull out tags and two super cute snowmen paper clips.

 You will need
Little Claires Christmas Snowmen stamp set
12" x 12" piece of white card plus one sheet of A4
 Christmas pattern paper
Christmas ribbon
Two large paper clips
Distress ink
Colouring pens
Stickles
Glue
3D foam tape
Die cut numbers

Take your piece of 12" x 12" white card stock and score it at 3"- 6"- 9" . Turn and score at 3 1/2" and fold up to create the pockets. Glue the two very outer edges to close pockets. Next reinforce all score lines and concertina fold up.

Now cover the front and inside with your chosen christmas paper cutting it 1/6" smaller to leave a small white edge all round and ink paper edges with distress ink before gluing in place.

Next cut four tags from your white A4 card stock 8" x 4" and ink edges with distress ink. Punch a hole in top and tie a small piece of ribbon ( I have used a fancy edge tag punch for the top of mine)

Onto a piece of white card stamp the row of little snowmen three times, colour and fussy cut each one out. Now glue one onto the top of each tag. Next glue two back to back over top of each large paper clip.

Stamp Snowman with baubles and sentiment onto a piece of white card 3 3/4" x 2 7/8", colour and ink edges. Before mounting onto wallet front with 3D foam tape, wrap a piece of ribbon round leaving enough to tie a bow to close wallet. Next glue die cut numbers to front.

Go mad with your stickle glitter glue, I've added some round snowman image on front and over snowflakes on the design paper,  some on the tags and more on the snowflakes on my pockets !!

Now all I have to do is write my naughty or nice shopping lists. keep receipts clipped together with my cute paper clips and make my count down lists too !!

What are you going to write on your lists ????

hugs Diane xx
