For some reason I love old teapots and their various shapes and sizes. In fact I think I love all old kitchenalia (is that the right term?)
Another illustration from the Dior couture show
It's getting very chilly over here in London, I think a nice fire would warm me up nicely, unfortunatley this one is made out of paper (but I love it all the same)
It's only 9 o'clock in the morning here and I've already been inspired and entranced by images from Dior's couture show...Galliano's beautiful Klimt inspired dresses have taken my breath away
I'm happy and a little surprised to say that my other blog, I, Bejeweled has been nominated for a Fabbie! If you get a chance take a peek here and vote for I, Bejeweled.
It's been a bit of a voting frenzy round here recently :)
My two sleeping bear illustrations have been shortlisted for the Tate Alternative Turner Prize, so please if you have a few spare minutes take a peek and vote for Kate Wilson!
Thank you!

In an attempt to become more professional I'm trying to teach myself Dreamweaver...however I think years of using a mobile phone, microwave and a curiosity of poking large electrical items has left my brain a bit useless when it comes to things like this. Expect a very strange (and most probably half built) website very soon...
I'm happy to say that my prints are now available at Hannah Zakari, alongside other beautiful bits and pieces as well as lovely artwork by Ashley G, I'm Smitten and Louise Cunningham. Go take a peek!
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a Saturday at a Christmas open day at Pullen's Yards, a fantastic series of yards near Southwark. The yards are made up of lots of tiny studios and workshops of creatives from various disciplines. Getting a studio is something I've been mulling over for a while and this has completely encouraged me...I can't quite explain the feeling of inspiration I got wandering around there. It seemed like such a great atmosphere to work in, with all of the designers and makers knowing each other, sharing stories and doling out mulled wine and mince pies! Plus the yards themselves have such a wonderful background to them and look just beautiful.
Amongst some of the artists I saw, these were my favourites...
Hidemi Asano's pebble like jewellery was calling out to be touched
Alex Monroe's nature themed jewellery (to which I treated myself to)
Breathtaking ceramic work by Daniel Reynolds which was unbelievably beautiful, innovative and irresistable from purchasing :) This is the fennel vase we bought, which is so delicate and different from anything else I've seen before. It was a lovely experience actually being able to talk face to face with him about his work, especially when I mentioned design blogs and he spoke about how he had been featured on some of my favourites like Design*Sponge and Bloesem!

Some sparkle
Some colour
A wonderful coin for a wonderful shop (which made me feel very Harry Potter-ish indeed)
And a little button
I hope everyone had equally wonderful Christmas and New Year celebrations!

Bethan Lloyd Worthington creates wonderful ceramics, inspired by a diverse variety of sources, especially everyday things that play on the mind such as "calorific guilt," "corporate evils" and "self employment." Her illustrations are so wonderfully quirky, they make for wonderful ceramics. I particularly love the dripping gold rims around the pieces.
I'm a big fan of solid, chunky glass vases but these neutral toned textured pieces are equally as lovely!
