Surprise!

Pardon the dishevelled look in the pic.. this was taken on my last school day last year.. was a long day.

The focus of this post is the adorable chubby boy in the picture. My good friend in school had an agreement with him earlier yesterday in the morning, and the outcome of the agreement? I received a call from this cute little boy in the afternoon after school hours. It was really a pleasant surprise to hear from him, asking me where am i? why did i take so long to go to school? telling me he has been good, been doing his homework and getting full marks for spelling. SOooo happy to hear from him and his happenings ^_^ promised to get him a gift as reward for being good.

I miss the kids. I miss their innocent honest conversations. I miss their smiles and chuckles.

Updates from Jan-Feb

Its been 2 months working from home. This 'job' requires great self discipline and time management. It was great the first month i must say as the working mechanism was still rolling within me, i got a couple of things done.. more to come still! I need to work harder! been slacking.

As i moved onto second month, its a month of learning. I learnt to cook a few local dishes, learning driving (yes! driving! my long awaited dream... zoom zoom! haaa ^_^ will write more on that later).

I have always liked to experiment in the kitchen, just that the undesirable job of washing have been keeping me at bay. But as i worked from home, i have to eat, and so i have to cook! It has been fun discovering another part of me, learning to cook from verbal instructions! haaa! So far, the dishes i tried are easy... difficult recipes will have to wait. Fun!

My first attempt at cooking curry! A great success! Not only edible but it passed my mum's palate. i must say my mum's love for cooking has been passed onto me.
