A Day in the Snow at the Foxes

Shalena came over and picked Kate up for an afternoon of fun and playtime in the snow at the Fox Family Home! In her snowsuit, she had a great time.
Bill joined in the fun. He got the bucket to make a snowman.
Chris (Shalena's boyfriend) played too! They made a snowman of sorts.
Added some sticks on top and wah la! Done!

Another Daring Day!

We were heading to bed. I stopped to help my mom with something and looked over (Yes! I was right there in the same room with Kate) and this is what I saw. Kate and her dang Stool!! She takes it everywhere. She loves it and knows she can reach just about anything. I am not sure what she was after here. Maybe just to check out the birds. She took off the skirt that had just been repaired and was going up to her closet off of the top of the bird cage as well as the birdcage night cover. Nutty Girl!! Maybe she will go out for the circus when she is bigger. She could do all the tall things!! Not afraid of anything I tell you!!! Nothing!!!!!

My Daring Daughter

Kate likes to be as daring as she possibly can. I do not think she is afraid of anything! She now likes to ride her horsey on her knees or standing up. This girl is going to send me to the loony bin! Sometimes she scares me but most of the time, she is in full control and if she falls, she will say "Wipeout" and hop up only to do a more daring stunt!!
Standing up on her horse. Practicing for the rodeo! GRRR!!!

What a Beautiful Day to be OUTSIDE!!

It may not have been the warmest day and there may still be snow on the ground here in our mountians, but compared to all our other days lately, this was an incredible day to be outside. Kate got her warmer clothes on and out we went to play and we had a marvelous time. We scooped snow with our bucket and spoon and made towers with snow.

The tower started out small but grew with each added bucket. (funny how that happens!)

As you can see we took time outs to ride our bike. Notice it crashed into the snowbank because Kate wanted to add to the tower.

Adding her final touches. It was melted completely by naptime but it sure was fun to make.
Then, we drug out what was left of last years sidewalk chalk. I would draw something then Kate would draw the same thing. Sometimes right on top of mine. Works for me. We were just glad our driveway is free of snow for now. I am so glad I named my daughter Kate. It fits her perfectly!
Kate drawing a flower. We also drew the "Mowsh", vines, her name several ways, more flowers, balloons, etc.
She loves to draw.
Then we (no SHE) tried walking on the snow and found that the top had formed a strong enough crust for her to walk and run on. Zoe loves Kate and likes to go everywhere with her. They ran and ran all over the snow in the front yard.
Kate loved it! More than Zoe. I think Zoe's feet got cold!
I LOVE this picture. Cold, Pink Nose and Rosy Cheeks. We spent about 2 hours or more outside just enjoying the sunshine, blue sky, and what Heavenly Father gave us!!!

My Little Angel

A day with my Sweet, Little Angel is the best day ever. Today, we got up and made pound cake for Nay, cupcakes for Kate, as well as a regular cake for the rest of the family. My angel loves to bake in the kitchen. She can crack eggs, stir, pour the milk or water in, etc. She loves to run the beaters of the mixer. Then lick them afterwards, of course.
After making the cakes, we brought in the additional poly-pellets to make more butterflies. Sadie-bug loved to sit on the tower and Kate loved looking on. She adores Sadie and Sadie does a pretty good job of tolerating Kate with only an occasional "Love Pat" from Sadie to Kate.
My Angel's wings.
Kate loving her very own cupcake! YUMMY!
Our checkerboard cake. Cute huh? We had a great time making it and an even better time eating it.

Making Nikki's

Mom and I have been making Nikki's and butterflies for the unit. They are positioning aides for our babies. Kate has had a ball helping us. She loves to play in the poly-pellets. By the time she is done, we are cleaning up poly-pellets from all over the sewing room. She keeps us entertained.
Where'd my "peet" go?

Enjoying the last part of Ali's cake!

Yum! Kate wants cake every day! She loved the chocolate cake and now she wants it at the counter and not in her high chair and she can do it herself!! Makes me crazy because by the time she is done, there is more on the floor than in her mouth and I worry about Zoe getting it. Now it's gone... we are ok!
I do it!

Ali's Birthday Party

Tonight the family got together to celebrate Ali! We had Hawaiian Haystacks for dinner and had pineapple cake and chocolate cake (Too many people for just one cake and Chocolate is the standard. Pineapple was Ali's choice). We talked and laughed and I struggled to get a picture of the birthday girl.
Jennifer playing with the girls. Kate riding her car and Jen and Zella playing chase.
Ali blowing out her candles. (Finally a picture of her). She got them in one try.
Almost the whole gang visiting while Susan, Mom, and I serve the cake.
Susan got Ali. These two have become great friends. Ali was dying here. Happy Birthday sweet Ali. I hope you have a great year!

My Mickey Mowsh Girl!

This is Kate's favorite outfit. If I would let her, she would wear this daily! She wakes up asking for the Mowsh and goes to bed singing about the mowsh! She cannot wait to go to Disneyland! I just cannot get enough of her!

Happy Birthday Ali!

Today is my baby sister's birthday! Ali was born at 6 am 19 years ago and has been our light ever since. We left Kate with a babysitter and we celebrated by going to see the new movie, "Avatar" in 3D. What a great movie. Not my mom's favorite but she is such a good sport to go see what Ali wanted. Mom does not like SciFI. Anyway, it was a well made movie and we had a good time eating popcorn, Red Vines and enjoying a good flick.
After the movie, we took Ali to the Chef's table. It was delicious and very elegant. Kind of like being on a cruise ship. Ali said she would like to eat like that every night!
We came home and opened gifts. Ali got a new hat which Kate loved. She wore it as long as Ali let her get away with it. (Which could have been forever). Ali adores Kate and lets her have whatever she wants. (That's what Aunts are supposed to do)
Kate loves the hat and her Mickey Mouse clothes.
Such a doll. Notice... no pictures of Ali. She would not let me get any!

Kate's Artistic Tendencies

Today I was making dinner and getting things together. Kate was playing around and entertaining herself. Now... take note she is in the same room with me. I look over and she is playing at the desk in the kitchen. No Big deal. Fast forward a few minutes and this is what I see...
Kate has applied lipstick, or just drawn her happy face. So Cute!!!!! I about had a heart attack. The permanent markers are above the computer desk. I took the pictures then realized it was just a dry erase marker. Thanks goodness. It wiped right off after we let her wear it through dinner. Silly girl. Who knows, maybe she will be an artist like her Aunt Ali.
