A Day of Play

Playing with our moon sand. What a fun toy! We had lots of fun and the mess was a mess but the clean up was easy! Kate loved making ice cream sundaes and shakes.
Our Ice Cream Sundaes. Now... If only we were on the beach and they were real! It's FREEZING out today!
The back of Kate in her dress up clothes. A day of appreciationto Aunt Jen who gave her all of the fun today!

My University of Utah Cheerleader

Shalena bought Kate the cutest Cheerleading outfit. Guess Kate's blood runs red instead of blue now. That's ok. Proud supporter of Shalena and her school!

Just a warm up to Kate's future as head cheerleader!

Love this face. So cheesy!

Building Our Snowman

In the Beginning....

Getting bigger.

Kate adding the snow. We could not get it to roll so we packed it on. So much fun!
As big as Kate. We did not want to go taller because I wanted Kate to decorate his face.
Arms and scarf.
U of U hat found on the road one day! Perfect for our Snowman's hat. Face on with apples for eyes, a carrot nose and raisins for a mouth. Rocks for buttons. Kate looks like a deer in headlights!
Kate and Mom and our masterpiece!
Our final product!

Playing with the Baby Center

Aunt Tweety gave Kate a great Baby center. It has a bedroom with a bed, a bathroom with a tub, and a kitchen with a fridge and a place to feed her babies. Kate loves it! Thanks Tweety! Getting ready to bathe her baby while Abby sleeps in her bed.
A nice warm bath with a shower to boot!
Rinsing the baby off.
Now it's dinnertime for the baby.
Putting her baby to bed.

Christmas Day

Nothing better than Christmas Day! I got home around 3 after a busy day at work. The unit is hopping and bulging at the seams with babies that are also not home on Christmas Day! Susan, Bill and Shalena came over to spend the afternoon with us.
Kate opening her "Reading System" from Aunt Susan and Uncle Bill. Kate loves this. She has the Tag Junior but had to have this opened immediately!! She said "I waited all day for this!" "It is what I really need."
Looking at the books to her "Reading System".

Catherine, Mike and Dakota gave this Build-a-Bear kit to Kate. She wanted to make one right away. We were able to wrestle it from her till later.

What a great, fun Christmas it was! Thanks you everyone for being so good to all of us!

Christmas Morning

Santa came to see Kate but unfortunately, I had to go to work on Christmas Morning. Now, I did not want to work but if I have to, The NICU is the place to be. Those families don't want their babies int he hospital either and at least I can make it better for them. So... I left my sweet daughter int he loving arms and care of Nay and Aunt Ali.
Santa had been there when I left for work. This is what he left for a very good little girl.
Kate seeing what Santa had left for her.
Checking it out.
Looking in her carriage to see her new baby.
Looking at her doll toys.
Opening her new books.
Looking through her new view finder. Boy, they have come a long way since I was a kid.
Seeing her pictures.
Starting to unwrap.
A trunk full of doll clothes and toys.
Opeing all the items inside.
New Baby Bottles.
More things to open.
Checking out what Nay is opening.
Check this out!
Little things to open. Such concentration.
Still opening! Now hanging by Nay.
Kate's new doll bed for her babies.
Hugging her new stuff!
Now what? Love the face!
Look at what is in here!
I love Christmas morning. I am lucky to have a job that allows me to work full time hours in 3 days and the rest of the week I am with Kate. The downfall is working holidays but it is worth it. Next year I will be home!
