I've managed to get a further 4 quilt blocks completed ready for a quilt/throw. I've decided I'll be using 9 blocks in total for the quilt & as I'll be making 10 it means I'll have one left over for a cushion/bag/whatever. The first two have been trimmed & the second two still need their corners trimming.
Next is an update on the Lizzie*Kate SAL that I've joined at the Lizzie Kate Lovers blog. It was supposed to be started some time ago but when I forgot to take it on holiday as a new start it kind of got left behind in more ways than one. Anyway I've started it now & here is my progress, allbeit not much! It's Lizzie*Kates Boo Club, a nice long narrow design, I can't wait to see it grow.
I've got lots more going on at the moment, I really should take some more pictures. I'm working on a pin cushion SAL. I've signed up to a Christmas Swap which I'm really looking forward to as I love christmas. I've paid to do a 4 day quilt class in Oct/Nov & I've even bought all the fabric for it from a shop that was closing down. Real bargain there as she was selling all fabrics at £6 a metre... I could have easily spent hundreds! I'm still stitching on Peace, Love & A Cure but not enough progress to warrant a picture just yet. Also, today I had a new foot for my sewing machine arrive... hooray... it should enable me to get to grips with free machine quilting, something that I'd love to do but have never tried. I can't wait to play with it as soon as the twins are in bed.
Happy stitching :-)

A Busy Bee.... or Not!
I can't believe it's been so long since my last post. You know every day when I read through the blogs that I follow I think about what to post on my own & then I just never get around to it. Today I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to over the last few weeks.
Not quite so much cross stitch been happening. I think since my holiday I've only picked up the one design, Lizzie*Kate Peace, Love & A Cure. I didn't get to start the Lizzie*Kate Halloween SAL, I didn't get to start the Lizzie*Kate Creative Challenge & I haven't done anymore on the Christmas Design SAL. I have to say though I remain quite concerned about the Christmas Design SAL or rather about the organiser Yoyo. No post on her blog now for a good few months & it's totally out of character... I hope she's ok.
This next picture is the centre of a quilt that I'm making for myself. It's from the book Jelly Roll Inspirations by Pam & Nicky Lintott which was a gift from my friend Franney. I'm making the quilt using a Moda Jelly Roll called Objects of Desire. I have a way to go on it yet!
These last two are quilt panels that I've just sewn using 5in squares, I have several more panels to go & I'm kind of making it up as I go along so we'll just have to see what happens with it.
Thats it for now, hopefully I won't wait as long before posting an update next time.
Happy stitching :-)
