February Fun

Well the blog is off to a slower start this year than I anticipated. Don't be too surprised...ha ha!  We have been very busy preparing for Austin's "little sister".  The funny thing is most of the work has actually been for Austin.  He is the lucky guy getting a "big boy" room.  I am actually sticking with the sports theme and carrying over a lot of his nursery decor.  When the room is all finished I will post some pictures of it. 

I am so lucky this year to have every other Friday off.  The downfall is I work a full day on the opposite Friday.  It is a challenge for us to be in the car at 7:35AM.  On the Fridays I am off I try to schedule fun things for us to do.  Early in the month we met Lindsay and her boys, Keegan and Kamden, at the Bainbridge Island Kids Museum.  The little guys loved it and the day was topped off with lunch at McDonald's!  Of course it was way too much of a challenge to get them all in a photo together.

Later in the month we had a few friends over to decorate Valentines Day cookies.  It was a blast!  Yes Austin is wearing the same shirt!  The first time I was being genius dressing him in bright colors so I could spot him easily at the museum.  The 2nd time it was his request for the day.  Just my luck these are the pictures I wanted to blog about!

This last week I have been on break. After a trip to the beach we enjoyed about 7 inches of snow and experimented with finger paint for the 1st time.

Well I am going to go enjoy my last moments before Austin wakes up from his nap.  He is going on 2 hours and of course this is the first time he has napped all week while I am off!

Handy Austin

Austin loves watching Handy Manny and doing "projects" with Dad!  He requests the show each day, it does not matter that they keep the same 4 shows on demand for a month!  Mom sure gets excited when they switch the shows to "new" ones!

I am going to send Stu and Austin to Home Depot for one of their free kids workshops real soon.  That is Austin's favorite store right now.  He loves to go and look at the tools. When we go to Home Depot Austin lets me know that he wants to walk (vs ride in the cart).  Fred Meyer he knows its routine to ride in the cart. I love it!

Little Linscott is a.........

We had our ultrasound this morning and everything looks great.  The newest addition to our family is a Girl!    Or perhaps it would be better to say it is a Girl!  We knew we were going to be delighted with whatever it was. I had myself convinced that it was a boy so I was very surprised!  Last night I did dream it was a girl.  I must say that I can't wait to go out and buy those cute outfits that always make my heart melt when I walk by at the store.  She weighs about 12 ounces right now and growth of baby is on target with the May 18th due date.  Yes, that is the day Mount Saint Helens erupted....hopefully that is not an indicator of what the labor will be like!!:)  During the ultrasound she kept putting her hand up by her face, it was so cute.  Next thing to do is to start our list of names and of course pick out nursery decor!  Stay tuned.
