More Hearts

Lace, Pink & Rusty

I'm all heart today. 

Three hearts all inspired by a heart I had pulled off an old greetings card, the original was all white. I think I like the rusty one the most out of these three.

Scrappy Book

I've made another collaged paper book using art work, found papers, bought papers, printed art work, maps, music, etc. The insides are shown below in it's empty stage. I have since put in bits & bobs which I will post another day. I'm calling the book - Scrappy Book [or if you don't like it S-crappy book]

WIP (for the 'shelter' project)

 Something I'm working on at the moment, lots of beading, far more than I originally intended, and it looks different now to when I took the photo above. Also there is a lot of free machine embroidery and some hand embroidery.

 The flower sequins looked a little light so I tried painting a couple of them [below]

The sequins look like this [below] before painting. I was going to remove them but they do show up in different lighting conditions.

The photo above looks blurred so I thought I would have a 'play' with it [below]

The Sketchbook Challenge

The theme for February's sketchbook challenge is 'opposites'. The top picture is about size - large elephant and small mice [although mine look quite large for mice] and the bottom one is light and dark i.e. black and white.

One World One Heart

I keep reading about 'one world one heart' on other blogs so I thought I would join in the fun. Click on the picture above to see who else is participating and to read more about it. 

I love to create and dabble with all kinds of art and crafts including embroidery, illustration, doodling, altered books, digital art, photography etc etc etc.

The prize I am giving away are two mixed media textile ATC's, well actually they are slightly larger than ATC's as the fabric is wrapped around stiff card. They have layers of felt, tyvek, metallic foil, distressed chiffon  and hand embroidery.
