DF Fabric Collection

Once again I have used a limited colour palette although this time there are more colours to work with. These are photos of the actual fabric swatches which are about 8" square. I named the collection DF after the first design I did using this palette, doodle flower.

See the collection at Spoonflower, there are another two fabrics in this collection too.

Vampire Fabric Collection

I found this colour palette on Spoonflower and the name that came with it -Vampire or Palette 0013 which is what use. My samples have nothing to do with vampires! These are photos of the actual fabric swatches which are about 8" square. Once again it is a limited colour palette and these are the colours used.

Gifts from Arty Friends

I received these handmade gifts from friends, two scarves one of which was printed, a pair of oven mitts and a box which opened up to reveal wooden dolls with paint and fabric to decorate them. The picture below shows the opened box, and more of the printed scarf. Clever friends eh?

Stencils, Clay and Gelli Prints

I designed these cut-outs to use as stencils. They were cut on a digital cutting machine then used with paints as shown below..
Below are the bits left on the cutting mat, which also makes a nice pattern.
I went to a crafty workshop last Saturday and we made tags and tree decorations with air dry clay. We used cookie cutters for the shapes for the most part and stamps for marks.
My husband says that kids do that, he's right but we still had fun.

We also did some Gelli printing using old magazines and gelli printing plates. It wasn't totally successful but I'm sure the prints could be used for further development although it was only inkjet paper so not that good as background paper.

I'm linking with Paint Party Friday.

Hand Painted Gift Bags

I made the bags from A3 sheets of paper. They were painted with brusho, stamped [candle stamp]. A couple of them had wax resist [candle] stars drawn on before painting. The cord for the handles was what I had in my stash saved from gifts etc.
I used them to carry the baubles I have shown previously for gifts.
