Our Class Outing!!! Sentosa on 15 March 2006

I hope you guys had fun... This is something that will come up again... and I'll like to have your suggestions and proposals on what are some things we can do together as a class. I'll probably have you people write it up as a composition task in class so start thinking about it.
And for those still screaming for a treat... A free trip into sentosa was the treat... :p
Some pictures:

I'll put more up later... I think blogger cannot take it already...hahaha.....

IT Day!!!

Ok folks, for all the blur ones, I shall write the information you may need here, but later will transfer it elsewhere ok?

Step by step:
1) Go to website: www.presbyterian.moe.edu.sg
2) click on 'CLASSROOM' (found bottom right of page)
3) Sign in with your username and ID, all CAPS!!!!!! (found top right of page)
4) Go to your assignment 'DUE TODAY'.
You should be able to see and access the things there already. Can do????

What's the EL Assignment? Very easy.... blogging - Describe how you spend your IT day, how you feel about it and what can the school do to make the future IT days more learner-friendly/interesting/enjoyable for you. OK???

Everyone's A Winner!

Last week, the class is challenged to do up the notice boards. It became a boys-vs-girls challenge, with the boys taking the back of the room and the girls taking the front two boards. The prize is ... Pizzas all around.

Here's how it looks now:

To me, everyone's a winner because the room looks so much better and inviting now. AND you're also proud of your room and your work right????

SO... TO all who did the work... WELL DONE!!!

To be sure that I'm fair to all, I'll announce the final winner after I polled the class teachers. How about that?

Reading Reflection 1

Newspaper Article: Those Stupid Tears, ST, IN Pg 10. 06/02/06

I read with much interest this article because it is on a movie that the school is going to watch together in about a month's time.

I found it interesting that the director Mr Jack Neo actually got members from real street gangs for some of the scenes in the movie. This is something that I did not know and perhaps that's how the show become more realistic. Mr Neo commented that through working with them, he found the members to be people who are basically misunderstood and needed appreciation by people around them.

After reading the article, I feel that I am even more excited about the movie because it will have a message to me, both as a member of the audience, as well as to me personally as a mom and teacher.

Of course, I'm also excited because it is my first movie after 5 'movie-less' years! Must remember to bring tissue paper.

Time to Stop!

<= Many people commented how smiley and cute my younger child is...

It's surprising how many people forget that my older child was equally as smiley and cute when she was that age. =>

Children grow up so quickly that if you don't stop to look, think and remember, you'll forget how they once were.

And there's no such fantastic technology like cameras, we won't have the opportunity to freeze time and memory.

So let's stop and remember before time runs on. And SMiLE!
