Torsten's Golden Star Wars Birthday!!

Our little Torsty turned 5 on the 5th of March!!! He celebrated his Golden Birthday in style with a Star Wars Theme. He and his friends had tons of fun and played with their special light sabers (made using foam pipe insulator and duck tape). They had a great time!

Torsten wanted his cake to be Yoda color. I didn't get too close to Yoda color because I think the cake might not have looked very appealing.

Torsten's buddy Zach gave him a Clone Trooper Gun. His favorite present from his friends.

Of course, they had to battle it out with Darth Vader.

They had to knock several cups off without knocking a balloon off.

Iditarod 2012

This post took me exactly one year to put on my blog.  I started it a year ago.... and tomorrow we are going to do this exact same thing with our kiddos.

Iditarod 2012!!

Lauren is so excited!!  Here comes one of the teams!  She is pretty crazy about dogs.

Torsten loving the excitement of it!!

The dogs are usually racing pretty fast but at this spot on the trail the mushers are given a reindeer sausage dog for the trail so they take a minute to slow down.  Gives us a chance to enjoy looking at the dogs up close.  I love their little booties.
