Sure signs that Spring is coming....... someday.

The kids snow gear gets strewn all over the yard.

They have picnics on our front deck. (Notice the lack of coats and bare feet. That is either bad parenting or some crazy Alaskan children!)

and I finally take down our Christmas lights.

P.S. I started this post back at the beginning of April. Little did I know that we would have three more big dumps of snow before spring finally decided to come to Alaska. All of the snow is officially gone from our yard now and it is light until after 10:00. Spring is here! Yay!

It's in the gene's!

For the sake of my husbands dignity I will not explain how the event occurred, except that it involved some intense synchronized swimming on dry ground.

The result: an extremely dislocated left elbow with bits of bone broken off that were not so bad to need a cast. The good news is that it does lay to rest a longstanding question we had about the lame gene our family has involving wimpy left elbows. Go here for a better explanation. Now we know whose gene it is!!!!!

That imaginary sign at our house letting us know how many days it has been since our last accident reads ZERO.

P.S. This actually happened two weeks ago but I am behind in my blogging as usual.
Physical therapy will hopefully restore my man's tendons/ligaments in about 6 weeks!
One arm is better than no arm! ;)
