Lil' buddies

I love the idea of Lucy and Daisy being best friends, so we try and do everything together. It is really precious how fond of each other they are right now. I just hope it stays that way ;) When Lucy wakes up in the morning Daisy is the first thing she asks for and is looking for. And Daisy is always looking at Lucy with these adoring little eyes. The other day I walked out of the room for a second and when I came back Lucy was whispering in Daisy's ear and Daisy was jabbering back at her 90 miles a minute. I have never even seen Daisy do that before. It was adorable.

ridiculously cute

I had to show off these pictures because they are so cute! Don't mind Lucy's dirty face and skinned up chin, she was being too cute with Daisy I knew if I stopped to clean it up the moment wouldn't last.

Christmas and such

I took 2 pictures on Christmas morning. How pathetic am I? Well here they are and a few others from Christmas Break.
Christmas morning. Doesn't Daisy look ecstatic? She couldn't wait to open her one toy, ha!
Lucy trying out her new baby stroller that Santa brought her. She absolutely loves it and wants to take it everywhere we go. Pretty cute I'd say.
Lucy getting ready to go out in the snow. Yes, snow in Lancaster!

Spud and Lucy made a snowman. She was pretty excited as you can see.

I got this super cute toddler bed and mattress on Craigslist for $30. Pretty sweet deal. Lucy loves it and now Daisy has a bed. Yipee!

Day 1

Daisy just turned 3 months old and it is about time I get my butt back into shape! Spud is off for the next 3 weeks for Christmas break and I thought that would be perfect time get into a routine. Not to mention all the Christmas goodies I will need to burn off. So today was my first day, after Daisy woke up for her 5 o'clock feeding I put on my dusty running shoes and took off. I made it for about 5 minutes until I had to start walking due to horrible crampings that came over my whole body. My body started shutting down, it had no idea what it was doing! But I did it, I jogged/walked (rapidly may I add) for 30 whole minutes. I thought the hard part was over when I reached my nice, warm, and cozy home but the hardest part was yet to come; abs. Oh my gosh! I am scared for tomorrow to come, 1- to do it again and 2- to see just how sore I am. But maybe I can lose some of that jiggle that follows behind me as I walk. Wish me luck!

the coupon craze

My friend Jazmin has been telling me how she saves a butt load on groceries and etc using coupons. I never really saw the point on collecting all these coupons to save 35 cents on something you have to buy 2 or 3 of. I mean is that really worth your time and effort? But it totally is. She showed me what she does and how she does it. It is crazy how much she saves. So after her teaching me all she knows I was sent off on my own to save me some money! Tonight was my first night and let me tell ya it was so hard! I forgot to use some of my coupons, I bought some stuff that wasn't on sale that I thought it was, and the topper I looked at todays ads that start tomorrow thinking they were the ones from Sunday!! So nothing was on sale that I thought was. I was walking through the store thinking those ads totally lied the crescent rolls aren't 3 for 4 dollars, and apple juice isn't 2 for 3 dollars. Then I found out I was a day early on the sales!! How embarrassing! But all in all I think I did pretty good, here is what I got.

3 big bags of all natural chicken nuggets (99 cents a bag)

2 bottles of vegetable oil (99 cents a bottle)

1 box of raisins

8 cans of vegetables

8 cans of chicken broth

10 cans of cream of mushroom and chicken soup

3 bags of chocolate chips (50cents a piece! that was the most exciting one!)

the grand total = 28 bucks

I have definitely learned a few things about the couponing world and so next time I will be better than before! As weird as it sounds it is actually pretty fun.

Where did my time go...

I am finding it a bit harder to find my time. Between changing diapers, feeding babies, bathing little booties, soothing Daisy, kissing my babies, making dinner, trying to keep a somewhat clean house, playing with Lucy, reading scriptures, laundry, and trying to be a good YW leader; it is a wonder I am able to find my camera and take a few pictures! And yeah I know I only have 2 kids! I am still just getting used to it though. Slowly, very slowly but it will happen some day. Probably when I am about to have another baby but it will happen.

So, yesterday I was just trying to find my hair brush so I could dry my hair before going to a church meeting, was that so much to ask? To look half way decent one day out of the week? Yes, of course it was, because Lucy likes to brush her hair as well, with the same brush so where the devil did she put it?? I looked for 20 minutes plus. I mean our house isn't that big. I even dared to go into her room while she was napping. How many places could she possibly put it? Well I never did find it and had to make do with a different brush (it worked but my hair was half dry by that point). Anyways I found it today, Lucy decided to put it in her own special drawer in her room. Little booger, I guess I better get used to sharing with 2 girls growing up in my house. But time or not, I love these little gals and I would do anything for them. I am so grateful for the time I get to spend with them everyday and to be their mama.

I love this sweet, chubby face!
Another thing I share, she has some what of a shoe fetish.

The other night when I was going to put her in her crib, she ran into her little play house and decided she wanted to sleep there. So I found her sacked out like this an hour later still with her tooth brush in hand. Oh and don't mind the messy room this is one of the days I didn't keep up on my housework.

Halloween in Utah

Lucy loved it when she realized she just had to knock on peoples door and they would giver her candy.

Bad days...

So having two kids...pretty freakin hard. Lucy will have a good day but that day Daisy is having a bad day and vice versa. It isn't often that they both have a good day at the same time. But all in all these girls are fun. I am exhausted and I don't know how much fun I am, but it only can get better from here, right? Someone tell me I am right!

I couldn't resist taking this picture.

I hardly have any pictures of her awake because she is usually like this, poor baby!

This is the good day or should I say hour or so. So cute I can't stand it.
