Fun Fun

What an eventful weekend. Eric and I had so much fun at the dog party. It was fun to see Joe again, and to see some new and old dog friends. Dixie had a blast, she maybe had a little too much fun. Eric and I took Dix to the dog park today and she was not her normal "prancing" self. I think she is still tired from yesterday, which is great... I am not complaining.

As we left the party, we went over to the "flood" that runs off Bruno's into the storm drain. Dixie was wading her feet, and drank as much as she could. When we were waiting for her to get hydrated, Eric saw these two dead baby birds in the flood. In the back of my mind, I couldn't help but think Jacque was behind this... Eric thought it was so sad, and I was kinda freaked out. Because dixie's paws were just in that water... That just can't be good. Eric looked at me and said, "are they dead?" I told my worried husband, that the baby birds were in fact dead. He then got a sad face on, and told dixie, "Dixie they're not dead, they are just sleeping." It was kind of traumatic way to end a fun party, but we will live.

After the party, we went home, and just took it easy. Eric and I have been looking into love sacs, we thought it would be nice to get one, that we can put in the other room, and bring it out when we have guests. So we got looking on KSL.com, and saw the perfect one. So me and Eric, being the two impulsive people we are... went to Mapleton, Utah to get our new lovesac. The people that sold us the love sac could not believe we didn't bring a truck, to haul the stupid thing, but we worked it out. We were a hazard but we made it home. You live and ya learn. Needless to say, Dixie thinks its just a big dog bed, I know shes thinking " Bout time I get an upgrade!"

Badminton and Dry Paws

Happy fourth of July weekend extravaganza... Today was awesome! We went over to my parents house w/ the fam, for lunch, and to play in the pool. It was great, and Lese was in a wonderful mood. We got in the pool, and decided to play a game of badminton, which is not the best idea. It was guys against girls, and we ALSO got lese. We weren't very good, especially with me not having my glasses on, melinda treading water, and my mom not being able to figure out how to make contact with the birdie. Badminton started off with a bang, when brooks decided to flip the "birdie" when my mom asked where the "birdie" was... We all had great attitudes. I was blind as a bat, and nobody really believed me. I had a hard time making contact w/ the ball, but I did better when we got a bright orange birdie. After getting frustrated w/ my team complaining that I was on their team, I decided to put my glasses on, and that's when the game began. I was amazing...

When we got home, we noticed part of Dixie's paw (the padded part) was coming off. We were thinking that maybe they were a little dry or maybe she got a blister when she has been hiking. Eric was really concerned and worried for Dixie. Dixie seemed just fine, but Eric managed to Google, "dry paw remedies for dogs." That's when we went to Target to get some neosporin and a baby sock. When I walked in I went straight for the dollar aisle, because they sometimes have baby clothes... that's when I found some toddler socks that were "Hello Kitty" on them. It seemed even more hilarious to get them. Dixie got the "spa treatment" as Eric rubbed ointment on them, and put a sock over it. Needless to say, Dixie is totally lovin' the attention, and hopefully "heels" her feet. I did feel her pain since the Morris' tend to have "dry heels." Have a great fourth everyone!

Life's a beach....

I am sorry I have not written in my blog for a while. It has been super busy lately. To fill you in on everything. Eric and I went to Newport Beach, with his fam. It was awesome… They had the best thing at the beach. All the deli’s and snack stands had “Frozen Banana’s”. Yup, they would dip them in chocolate and put sprinkles or nuts on it. It was the most beautiful thing I have tasted.

The second day, Eric and I went out to the beach to lay out, and read. I have to admit Eric and I have had bad luck on beaches… When we got out there, we noticed a crowd of people circling the waters. It felt like that Seinfeld episode, where George says he is a marine biologist. Eric and I look closer and there is a dead seal washed up on shore. It was awful, the worst part about it, is that it had no head, and no tail. It happen to get washed up about 15 feet in front of us. That was kind of a downer…

Aside from the dead seal incident, we manage to get our spirits up to go to Disneyland. When Eric and I walked into to Disneyland, we looked up at the castle, and turned to each other and said, “That’s it?” When you’re younger, Disneyland seems a little bigger. But hey, it was so much fun. First thing we did, is go on Space Mountain. I was so excited to go on Space Mountain, UNTIL I was actually ON Space Mountain. I thought in my head, “why in the H E double hockey stick, and want to go on that ride, for fun?) I finally understood why my mom hated that ride. After Space Mountain, Eric turned to me and said that we might need to get some Dramamine… which we did.

It was a fun trip! But I am really glad to be home. I love my bed, and my pillow, and my own bathroom. I am sounding more and more like my mom.

Bumper Sticker

I just wanted to share w/ you all a bumper sticker I saw... I was driving home, and saw this van that had all these liberal stickers on it. I rolled my eyes, until I saw this one sticker that made me laugh so hard, it read: "Peace on earth begins at birth, use a midwife!" After that bumper sticker, I really couldn't take that car seriously...

Anyway have a good one!

Who am I?

Hey everyone! Sorry I have been busy, or maybe I was turning into "two crazy ladies". Anyway, either way, I was totally slacking on the blog. Ok, so a lot has happened since I last updated. I will try to fill everyone in...another time. I was thinking of what to write, and a funny story came to mind.

A few nights ago, Eric was getting ready for bed, and I was already laying on the bed. I crossed my arms on my chest, and closed my eyes (kind of like the way vampires do). As I did this, I yelled to Eric, "WHO am I?" Eric seemed puzzled as I continued to stay in that position. He thought for a moment, and said, " Dixie?" I said, "NO!" with kind of pursed lips. I was frustrated that he was not seeing what I had in mind. I tried the second time, and he said, "Are you my grandpa?" ( His grandpa recently passed, and he thought I looked like I was dead in coffin). I got a little frustrated, and told him " I am SLEEPING BEAUTY!!! And I also would have accepted SNOW WHITE!" Eric laughed and said, "Well, you look more like my grandpa". It was a funny story, but not at the time.

I am so happy that the earth is back in its axis, and that the crazy ladies are writing again. I look so forward to blogs.

It is Eric's bday today, and he is officially 24 years old. He is officially older than me, by 1 month. He is watching the discovery channel right now, so im guessing that it was a good bday. He loves his discovery and history channels.

Well everyone have a great day, and im going to get some sleep.. like eric's grandpa
