A Scrap Success
I had to cut up a bunch of pad sheets for a paper swap and ended up with a pile a scraps. I cannot bear to throw them away and putting them in the scrap box is the kiss of death. I worked on making card mats out of them. This is one I was able to finish and it works for the Mother's Day Challenge! I think a key element is the matting of the scraps. What do you think?

OWH MWT Mother's Day
A quick card that I made earlier in the week using a computer generated sentiment. I am still working on a envelope of Mother's Day cards for the challenge.
Between work and caregiving I have been barely keeping up on the card making challenges and have not had much time to provide support to other OWH card makers. I know that I appreciate your comments on my blog so I have always felt strongly that I need to visit all posting and leave some love. I may be absent for awhile but hopefully my time will free up in the next month...keep your fingers crossed for me.

Mom Card
This card was made following OWH Sketch #30 (yes I know I jumped from 20 to 30), but I really wanted to use this digi. I will need to go back. The digi can be found at http://digitaltuesday.blogspot.com/2011/08/here-are-some-more-images-from.html
I am linking up to the OWH ODBD challenge Use Yummy Ribbon found here: http://www.owhstarsandstamps.org/2012/02/february-odbd-challenge.html
and SSC The one I love can be found here: http://sweetstampinchallengeblog.blogspot.com/2012/02/one-i-love.html
The bonus is that this card can count for the Mother's Day Challenge as well.
OWH Sketch #107 and CAS Skip Cards
Good Morning! I do not have too much to say about my sketch card...it was a fun sketch...uber easy. I do like making general cards that can be used for special holidays. I like the idea of a longer shelf life...sometimes though, based upon comments I read I think they just fly off the shelf.
I loved all the inspiration at the skip! What a great idea when the rest of us just really want to be on the ship! I was enamoured with Dixie's card because I am really into zigzags right now. I did use actual rickrack that was in a packet together (made thing alot easier). The rickrack did not match the best (so there are white spots showing through) but I think the texture adds a little something. I would like to try this again in patriotic colors and wider rickrack.

OWH MWT Die Cuts & Punches
Things are a little crazy for me this week. My mother had hip replacement surgery Tuesday to replace work performed in June that did not heal right after a fall. My sister and I are her (and father's) primary caregivers and I am thankful for the power of two! This has been a long haul and OWH is my stress reliever! Thank You!
I am also thankful that I had this card started and the MWT gave me the motivation to finish it. The kraft is stamped with a little $1.00 zigzag stamp...I am so in love with the Hero Arts one...
