I got a call from my mom and dad this evening telling me that I just have to take my camera and go snap a few photos of the sky. It looked as if someone had painted the clouds on a blue canvas...

Bovec - 3.-4.8.2013 (part 1)
Since I couldn't go to the seaside this summer, I gladly accepted my friend's invitation to celebrate her birthday camping in Bovec. And although it was only for two days, I loved every minute of it. It was hot but the river Soča was freezing cold so we jumped in a few times and the heat was bearable.

Velika planina - 23.7.2013 (part 3)
To finish this series, let me show you a bit of a landscape on Velika planina. It's really beautiful and if you come to the mountain using the furnicular, you can go for an easy walk around the mountain, get something to eat and enjoy the view.
The view of the mountain called the Sleeping Monk from this side is even better than from our backyard. The facial features look amazing - if you can't find it, it's the mountain in the middle, the left part is the head :)

Velika planina - 23.7.2013 (part 2)
So in between our coffee and my rest we checked out the cottages. Velika planina is full of them, some are pretty old, others restored, a few brand new. But all worth visiting. Some offer the traditional food, home-baked bread, home-made cheese and other culinary delights. I could easily imagine myself staying at one of them, alone, reading a book all day in peace and quiet... That would probably be the best vacation.
