Liz & Sep's 40th Anniversary

The Hergstrom Family are famous for the surprises that they spring on each other, and this was no exception.
Liz had no idea that Salena & Sep had invited 40 or so of their close friends and family to the restaurant where they were going to have a 'quiet lunch'
Not only that, there was a surprise guest - David had arrived early for Christmas from the USA! Liz couldn't believe it and Salena was pretty pleased with the success of the surprise. You could hear Liz's scream for miles!
Then she noticed a few other people she hadn't seen for a while!
Mat, Salena, liz & Rach. Can you see my little cousin, Tummy, in this picture?
Grandfather, Great Uncle Sep & Gar.
Here is Max with his mother Tammy. Max was born 1 day and 10 minutes before me! He is somewhat taller than I am. Why am I making a 'peace' sign with my fingers? That's a secret.
Great Auntie Liz said it was lucky there's no history of heart disease in our family. She relaxed a bit after a while and practiced being a grandmother.

Great Auntie Gwen from Sydney.
Great Uncle Russ had just arrived that morning from a conference in Tehran.

100th Anniversary of Athol Crane

The people here are all related to me in various complicated ways:
Here are Athol's daughters, Nat and Christine with his neice Kathy.

Here is Nat. She's my great aunt.

Here's Fiona. She's my mother's second cousin. (Does that make her my 3rd cousin?)

Gar and Neta (my mother's cousin's grandmother - work that one out!) are looking at the photos of Athol's life. They're both 89. It's Neta's birthday in May so she's the YOUNG one!

Kathy (my grandmother's cousin - so my second cousin twice removed maybe?). She didn't want to put me down.
Here's Christopher Turner (hmmm I think the same relationship as Fiona) and Andy Crane ( my mother's cousin so my second cousin) Florence Crane and Verity Crane. Verity is holding the 'Florence' glass which was passed down to Florence Crane by Florence Crane the wife of Athol Crane. Verity is now the keeper of the 'Florence' glass.

My flight to Melbourne

Waiting to board the plane - Gee I am bored - Hope I didn't miss my flight - The flying Kangaroo in the background

My first time on a plane!

Back in Adelaide . My Dad likes to get things on special, but NO he didn't put me in the cargo hold.

Clever things

At the end of Week 6 I showed Mummy that I could hit things with my hands.

I started investing in Managed Funds in Week 8.

In Week 8 I held my toothbrush and used it to hit the elephant chimes.

Friends!

Sonny's birthday (My first Birthday Party Experience 17 Dec). Sonny is 2 and we gave him a red ball.
This is Sergio. We have a lot in common. Sergio's hobby is sucking his hand. My new hobby is sucking my hand! We both really like this blue toy. He's a bit older than me. He was born 19 July.
I wonder, is it destiny?
