Ytd i went to skool as usual. Boring! But afta skool got GG. Fun! Cos getta command da Sec 1s n Sec 3s. Woohoo! Luv commanding but i was dead nervous cos YA was watching. [Scary scary scary] But dat wasnt da 'rawkk' part. I left GG at 2.30pm to change into my blazer. Told XL to meet me in da skool canteen at 2.45pm. But she wasnt there n i started to panic. Finally, 15 mins l8er, she arrived in da Council Room. Phew! Wat a relief! I didnt hafta go alone.
We left skool for da Orchid Park Sec Investiture at 3.15pm. Took 169 from da opp. busstop n alighted at sumwhere in Yishun. Then we crossed da overhead bridge n took 811. Tot we were gonna be late but gud thing we arrived at 3.55pm. Investiture started at 4pm sharp. Double Phew! When we arrived actualli didnt c any1 so we were dead scared. Finalli we saw 2 Northbrooks Sec councillors going da same way as us. Wat da heck, XL n i went in. OPSS is sooo nice! [I put dat skool in one of my 6 sec sch choices when i was in p6. y da hell did i change my mind to go into MF?? sucker] I shud haf gone there. Tell u y i luv dat skool bt u hafta read on...
We wrote our name beside 'Mayflower Secondary' in a bk on da security guard's desk. Then we were directed up to da hall. A teacher brought us to our seats. Invited councillors were seated behind da rows of chairs for da OPSS councillors. XL n i sat between a loinely guy from dunno wat skool n da Northbrook Sec girls. Da girls introduced themselves but being shy, we didnt introduce OURselves. =|
At 4pm sharp, da emcee, which i s'pose is a OPSS teacher, told us to rise to welcum da Guest-Of-Honour n OPSS Councillors. Their entrance realli captured my attention. There were 3 doors behind da hall n there were students appointed to open them. When da emcee said, "Let's welcome the OPSS student councillors" or sumtin liddat, those students opened da door [like in American cinemas] n da councillors walked in on da blue carpet. They had to stand upright n look smart. OMG they were realli serious!
They got to their seats then they stood up super str8. Then we all sat down. There were 2 long speeches. Dat was boring but then da 'real' Investiture started. They called on da Sec 2s, den Sec 3s, den Sec 4s, den Ex-Co. So cool! Sum of them r cute, i muz say. No fair lor: our skool sec 3 councillors wear normal sch u n OPSS sec 3 councillors wear blazer. im saying dat my skool is short of blazers =p
Afta all of them received their badges oleadi, there were 2 performances; one by da non-committee n one by da senior councillors + ex-co. Realli enthu man they all! Both r singing performances ah but they r so united n enthu. Envy them loads. MF councillors r kinda reluctant to perform anytin. Hahakz.. When da presentation ended, guests went down to da Art Rock Cafe for refreshments. It was veri nice! i mean da place n food n drinks. Da refreshment table was in front of a 'gallery wall'. i ate 2 pieces of banana cake.
Then there was 1 chinese guy OPSS SC [student councillor] who approached XL n i n toked to us. He asked how did we find da investiture, etc. n oso how bout our skool. XL did da toking. Two other OPSS SC from da Ex-Co toked to us. They invited us to their SC room. Wow! It was totally awesome! Like twice da size of OUR SC room! They haf 2 parts; 1 is painted by da SC themselves [orange colour]..if im not wrong da guy said it was a 'cosy corner'. 1 more is their so-called conference room, where their meetings r held. They haf air-con but cant b used. [wasting electricity]
Then afta we've seen da room, we went out so dat XL cud finish her food. Den 2 sec 2 OPSS SC toked to us. It was realli fun knowing other pple. I didnt manage to ask them wat their classes alphabets stand for [eg. 2A1, 2B2, 2C1, 3S1, etc..]Realli wanted to noe. Den when they left n when XL finished her food, we went to get drinks. After dat we walked arnd da skool a bit. Wow! Da head councillor toked to us. He showed XL n i da gift shop of OPSS. Le Shoppe or sumtin liddat. Cool! Cheap cheap stuff lor. OPSS rules! Not dat MF sux. Both skool rox! One xtra thing is dat OPSS has NCC WIF females n whose uniform isnt green.
Finally, afta a 'long' day, we went home. Took 811 from da opp. busstop n alighted at sumwhere in Yishun. Then we crossed da overhead bridge n took 169. i reached home at 7.15pm. My leg hurts! Slept at 8.55 pm as a result of a long long day.
