Its time again to blog...! d^.^b

I've been blogging very little of late. Its supposed to be 'off-peak' at work now, but I somehow still find myself as busy as ever, or maybe even busier than before. Last Saturday was one of my busiest Saturday's ever. I woke up at about 9am, played soccer at 10am, went for worship practise at 1pm, had a paintball strategy discussion at 3.45pm, photoshoot at 5pm, IT fair at 7.30pm, and finally a family function at 8.30pm. 6 events in one day. I was really drained.

Soccer last Saturday was super-fun. I played with the brothers from NTU CCC. I scored a double brace (2 goals in each game), and again I thank God for every goal I score! (",) It was also the good work of teammates in other positions that allowed me to score. This is the beauty of soccer, and one of the reasons why I enjoy it so much. You need to work together well as a team to win, with each member playing his role (position) well. Shao is a really good ball-winner, Bok Wee and Paul can play everywhere, Ee Jun, Jem and Kelvin are strong in defence, and Jason can be really intimidating in goal heh. I'm looking forward to more soccer games with the guys.

Here's a pic of something fun I played today... Paintball! I'm proud to say that I was captain and sharpshooter for my team. We needed to burst the enemy balloon, and my team won 3 out of 4 times. I thank God for helping me to burst the enemy balloon all 3 times that my team won! I played with my colleagues. It was selections day to pick the best players for my company team.

To all readers of the Light Side Story... sorry for taking so long to write this new entry! I've been tremendously busy as you would expect. It isn't work this time, but the 'extra-curricular activities' when I'm not working heh. Chief among them are the training and/or competition times for inter-company games. I'll mention on my MSN when I update this blog again.

A picture is worth a thousand words so here are some pictures to continue the story... haha.

Love Your Neighbour

Gal 5:13-18
13 You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. 14 The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." 15 If you keep on biting and devouring each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.

16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

Life for me has been really busy of late, ministry-work wise in particular. I've had meetings to attend, emails to write, and I had to spend quite a bit of time preparing to lead a bible study on handling family relationships at zone level, which I did so yesterday. Maybe its somewhat good that I'm not in a relationship at the moment, because it has really allowed me to focus my after-work time and energy on 'the Lord's work'. A helper will be needed (in the form of 'Eve', haha) in time, but I honestly don't know when and possibly where it'll happen. What I do know is that it'll be life-long hopefully, and not just for a few months or 1-2 years. (",)

Some of the key verses that I shared for handling problems with parents and/or siblings was what I have included above. We need to keep reminding ourselves to love them as much as we love ourselves, and to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for help whenever problems arise.

Please continue to keep praying for our kidnapped brothers and sisters in Christ until this matter has been resolved.

Eun Hae Rohdah (Amazing Grace)

I've added another video clip below my previous post. It shows us singing the Eun Hae Rohdah song during the CM2007 worship session.

I guess that many of you would already have heard the news of our South Korean brothers and sisters in Christ being taken hostage.

Please pray for them, and fast too. Pray for God's purpose for them to prevail.

We do not yet know whether they will be matyrs for the faith, or if God would show a mighty act of deliverance through this. It is possible that God has allowed the time extensions for us to learn how to pray more, particularly for others. A good prayer guide would be Psalm 140.

Follow the news, and keep praying!

~ Happy Days ~

Its been a happy week for me! (",) Although I finally returned to real work, and I was busy, various things in life have been going well I think, and I give praise (to God)!

I finally got to meet 3 of my dear ex-DG guys for dinner last night, and it was a really good time of sharing and laughter. It was wonderful to hear about their experiences during 'rural missions' in Korea. I was also encouraged to hear about how God used them to bring the Good News through translators in this foreign land. God had impressed on my heart an important message for them towards the end of CM2007, and I was really glad to share it with them before FOC camp starts next week. I was very amused when I found out from the guys that our brothers and sisters in Christ in KCCC are not supposed to date until their final year in university. I guess many of them would find their life partners in that final year after all the years of waiting, which would likely also have helped them to make a wiser choice.

I found out earlier that I've been given the responsibility of organizing youth camp for my church this year. Pls say a prayer for me as I have to try and confirm my leave when I'm back in office next week. It'll be exciting but there's much work to be done too.

To end off today's post, here's a nice video for you to watch! (",) Some of the Singaporean Crusaders sang a very nice and famous Korean Chrisitan song with their Korean friends:
