Day 18 (or something close to that)

Here I am, at the end of my third week doing P90. I feel totally great! I am definitely a lot stronger than when I started. I still have another week until I take my 30 day pictures, and I am really excited to see the difference!

Meanwhile, Tiana is starting to stand for few seconds at a time. She is also suddenly a little ball of personality, still easy going, but completely delighted and charming all the time.

Daniel is approaching his 3rd birthday. He loves the pool here, and the next time we go I will remember to bring a camera.

We are enjoying Colorado so far. This area of Denver is beautiful! Full of trees and green, rolling hills. We play outside everyday, except rainy ones.

The Joys of a New Enviroment

Scott and I talked last night about how wonderful the Lord has been to us. I think that He sent us here to help us get focused on all those things we have been wanting to do for awhile. We have been able to reinvent ourselves and really look at how we have been doing things.

We got an exercise program called Power 90, and started it this week. It is a 3 month commitment, and so far we are both totally loving it. For the first time since running with Rinda, I am getting consistent workouts, and this time I get excited to do it! Today was day 5 for me, and I pushed myself hard for the first time. The program suggests that you take it easy at first, because if you get too sore, you won't be able to workout the next day.

I have gotten back into meal planning and healthy eating. Starting with an empty cupboard really helped, as I am trying to only buy what is good for us. This has been a bit of a struggle, but I have found some really great things. I am totally avoiding Corn Syrup and MSG, and any oil that is not Butter, Coconut Oil, or Olive Oil. (These are the three oils my dad approves of. . .)
I spent 10 minutes going through the barbecue sauce section trying to find one that didn't have corn syrup. . . and I only found 1!

Scott has been able to focus on personal development. He learns best when thrust into a situation that requires change, and he is really buckling down to figure out how to do this job. It has been cool to watch.

Our spiritual side has also improved, as we make sure that scripture study and prayer happen.

Daniel has also improved, as our discipline skills and arsenal have increased. We are learning to be better parents. We also go outside everyday, so his excess energy is spent running up and down hills instead of throwing fits.

From Colorado

We have been in Denver for nearly 6 days. I love our little apartment, it is very nice. Tiana started crawling vigorously once we got here. She now wants to pull herself up to a stand. We don't have internet in our apartment, so I won't be posting as often as I thought. However, once money comes in conistently, we will get internet and I will catch up on everything I missed. Meanwhile, all my dear friends: My phone still works, the number is the same. Call me.

We are really excited for this summer, once the training is over, we can see our goals happening!
