A few weeks ago, Tanner, Katie and I decided to go see my Grandpa's grave site. It was hard for me, but I am glad that I went! His headstone is just what he would have picked out. The last time I was at the cemetery was for the funeral and it was freezing. So I knew kind of where it was, but not exactly. So the kids and I started walking. I knew it was by a tree and I thought it was fairly close to the road. So I stopped at the tree and was kind of talking to myself saying that I couldn't find it and I didn't think it was farther than this. When Tanner said, "It was farther, Mom!" I couldn't believe that he could remember that. We were in and out of there so fast after the funeral that even my parents had a hard time finding it. Kids amaze me! Once we found it, we cleaned it off a bit from the grass clippings and I had a nice little cry while I talked with the kids. I still can't believe that he's gone! I miss him so much!

OK, so I am WAYYYY behind on my blogging! I am going to just post a bunch of pictures so I can catch up...I hope!! Wish me luck! We just got back from a 9 day vacation to Disneyland with my family so hopefully I can get those pics posted soon. We had a ton of fun even though the weather wasn't the greatest for suntanning!

Kate's 3rd Birthday
At the end of February, we celebrated Katelyn's 3rd Birthday. I feel so blessed to have this little one in our home. We had a miscarriage the year prior to her birth, and it was hard on us. I had never had any problems with my pregnancies or getting pregnant so it was a shock. But the best thing that we got out of it was realizing how miraculous it is when these precious little one come to us from our Heavenly Father. A few weeks before I was due, I was taking Madison to the bus stop and got out of the car to talk to a friend and tripped on a rope that was tying down a tree. I fell flat on my stomach. It scared me to death. We had recently had someone in our ward fall down the stairs when she was pregnant and the baby almost died. I'm sure that made my fears worse. I did make Jordan come home from work and give me a blessing before we went to the doctor. Everything ended up being great!
Katie was born a few weeks later, she was healthy and such a good baby. She had jaundice, so they had us watching her and bringing her in for blood tests when we got home from the hospital. Also, the day she came home, Jordan went to play basketball and dislocated his knee-cap and tore some ligaments. Then Katie ended up being admitted to Primary Children's for her jaundice. The first few weeks of her life she was poked and prodded a lot. (I know that it could have been worse, but this was the worst I had ever had it after having a baby. It was tough for me!) When she was a few weeks old, I was holding her and she started having what seemed like little seizures. A doctor visit and a CT scan later, we found out all was well. Thank heaven.
After that, everything started to be normal. She was a great baby. Slept through the night at around 6 weeks, thanks to thumb sucking!! (Which we are done with now!!! ) She is such a cute little girl and I love just to sit and listen to her talk. She has a fun sense of humor and is always cracking us up! I think that's why my Grandpa would always say that she is the apple of his eye! I just love this little girl and know how lucky I am to be her mom!

Asheville
On Valentine's Day weekend (yes, I know that was a LONG time ago!), Jordan and I went to North Carolina to attend his brother Mike's wedding. It was beautiful! We left the kids at home with my parents and took off with Rick, Sharon and Becca! We had such a great time. Jordan and I took one day to go hiking and driving through the blue ridge and smoky mountains to Tennessee. It was nice to spend time together even if it was just driving around. The wedding was at the Biltmore Estate which was built by the Vanderbilt's in the early 1900's. We were able to tour the house, which was huge! We played games and just hung out with Jordan's family. It was a great trip!! I wish I could go back in the Spring or Summer and see how beautiful it would be when there are leaves on the trees!
On the top of Chimney Rock. My hair is beautiful!! Gotta love the wind!
Jordan and I again
