Scottsdale Mommy Trip!

Sara and I took a Mommy trip to Scottsdale over Memorial day weekend this year. It was amazing, fantastic, fabulous, relaxing, did I mention it was AWESOME?! We had so much fun! In fact we have started planning the next girls weekend for next summer! We had a long weekend filled with cocktails, pool time, shopping, eating, and silence. No one yelling "MOMMY!", no laundry to be folded, no dinners to be cooked, no lawns to be mowed. It was blissful. I was so lucky to share such a fabulous weekend with one of the most amazing moms I know and one of my besties, Sara! :) By the end of the weekend we were itching to see our kiddos and hubbies, but what a great time! We were lucky enough to stay at the Bloss Hacienda in Desert Mountain and wow is their house beautiful!!!! (We missed you Nat!)

The beautiful infinity pool
On our way to dinner with Sara's cousin Beth and her husband Jason! So much fun! We found our way around all of Scottsdale...no help! :)
This little guy was our traveling companion...brought him everywhere we went and took his picture to send to the kids! Oh we love you Scottsdale the horse!
Country dancing at Harold's! Spent our time there with some CRa-zy ladies celebrating a birthday! ha!
Last night! Drinking home made fresh fruit daquiris and watching the Hangover in the movie screening room! Fantastic! :) Cheers to our mommy trip!

Some more random summer catch up! :)

Since we already know I've been a slacker on the blogging here's another photo catch up from our summer activities!
Spent lots of time at the zoo this summer!
Swim swim swimming!
We also rode the carousel for the first time too! Now we must ride it every trip to the zoo!
What would summer time or any time really be without some delicious HAPPY CAKES?!

July 4th: Celebratin' America, Gillette style

We headed up to Gillette to visit with Terry's parents or Bapa Keith and Grandma Kay as Jaimo calls them....we brought the dogs and made it a road trip! We relaxed, relaxed, and relaxed some more! They SPOILED Jaimison! :) She had a great time! We did lots of sprinkler running and swimming at the local pool.

LOTS of family movie nights!
And what would a day be without some sass from our little miss?! :)
Of course we just absolutely couldn't celebrate the 4th of July without some delicious corn on the cob....dipped in ketchup! ha! She is her mother's daughter!

Clearly, I'm the worst blogger. Ever. :)

Soooooo.....I know, I know. It's bad. It's been so long since I have blogged and frankly, I needed a good blog butt kicking (Thanks Alise!) and I have committed to be a much much better blogger! So to get me caught up here's what we have been up this summer! I have had so much fun staying home with Jaimo and I can't believe I'm going back so soon....a week from Friday I'm back at it! So sad to be leaving my little monkey! :( I will be starting at a new school this year and I'm excited about that part of going back. It will be nice to start somewhere new with new students, new parents, new teachers, and a new classroom!

We had Jaimo's pictures taken out at the farm by the amazingly talented Heather of Artistic Images by Heather...we incorporated some of the farm animals and holy cow they turned out amazing! Can't wait to post my favorites soon! Stay tuned!
Aunt Nat and little Barrett made a quick stop in Denver before heading to Vail for the 4th and we were lucky enough to have a fun breakfast with them! We miss them so much!!!! :)
We spent a lot of time with friends and Grace and Jaimo have had so much fun playing together this summer....especially when we got to head out to Bear Creek Lake! :)
Jaimo and Barrett
We also spent a lot of time out at Tall Grass Farms...my parents farm out in Bennett....we always have a great time out there and they had two new arrivals this summer....Jelly Bean and Sprinkles the kittens! Named by the one and only Jaimo herself!
Also got to spend a lot of time at the pool, Jaimo has become quite the little fish, we also had a great time with swimming lessons this year! :) We had fun with Aunt Kat at her pool!
My talented mom made this adorable hat for Jaimo which we used at her photo session out at the farm! The little flower is hand spun fleece from one of their alpacas, Cocoabean!
Jaimo really committed to being my running partner this summer....so much to have her as my little buddy as I run!
"My the queen everybody!" New favorite past time and she loves to dress us up as the queen as well! haha!

So much sass.

I promise to be better. :)

Cinch! Update

So as I wrote about a few posts ago I was trying the Cinch! plan. Cynthia Sass is awesome and so far I LOVE her plan. I completed her 30 day plan and I'm going to just keep trucking. This is a lifestyle for me! I could eat this way for the rest of my life! I have lost 11 lbs. so far! :) Yay! I'll be ready for you swim suit and AZ trip this year!!! :)

Spring Break in the life of a Jaimo

So the timing of our NYC trip was perfect because it left me with a few days to be home with Jaimo on my Spring break week. Even though it was only a few days we had a great time together!

Lounging with her Daddy
We hit up quite a few parks over the last few days. She's trying out the big girl swings and getting so much braver.

Good Morning. I love just being lazy with my stinker!
We spent the whole day on Friday with Aunt Sara and her kiddos. Jaimo and Grace are so funny now. They are really playing and talking with each other. I think we are going to have a little bit of adorable trouble on our hands as they get older! :) HA!

NYC visit

We headed to Williamsburg Brooklyn to visit Mike and Janel (Terry's brother and wife) for an amazing 4 days! :) We flew the red eye into Brooklyn and got to their apartment at 6:30 am....that's 4:30 am Denver time. Red eye flights are NO JOKE! Holy cow. I had never flown one before and maybe it's because I'm older, but that kicked my butt! Luckily we had time to take a nap and then we headed out to the Beer For Beasts Humane Society fundraiser. It was a great Beer tasting festival and we had so much fun! It was so great to spend some quality time with Mike and Janel! Usually it's the holidays and we all know how the holidays are...especially with a toddler! :)
This was a delicious cucumber cocktail that we had at dinner....we drank a lot of amazing drinks and ate a lot of amazing food! :)

We also fit in some shopping. Of course! DUH! :) We spent an afternoon walking around Soho and had so much fun!!!
My crafty husband also scored us some David Letterman tickets to the taping of his show on Monday. We were totally engaging in tourist behavior and we had a blast! Jack Hanna and Danny McBride were the guests....what a great time!
On our last night we went to a Biergarten in Williamsburg and we drank a bunch of beer that we couldn't pronouce....it was delicious! :) Thanks again Mike and Janel! We had so much fun and it was fun (even though we desperately missed our little Jaimo Monkey) to go on a little vacation just the two of us! :)
