Wednesday, April 15, 2009 6:21 pm WE HAVE MOVED!!! :) __love struck ([`dJ]) ♥ orange'd 0 comments Saturday, January 31, 2009 4:21 pm dear bloggie, dearies is gonna brin tha notebook to aussie i guess so u'll become my new notebook! great... then i dun have to write anymore instead i can juz type which is so much faster. i'll be stuck in camp for ops standby for the whole of next wk... sian i noe.... but tat means feb 17 is comin nearer and nearer.. sigh anyway... i jus received news i'll be goin to taiwan for cover... dunoe whether confirm oso not haha. from 12 march to 9 april hmm... hopefully i can get to go cos ive nvr been there b4 and from what i heard its a very nice place to go. we went to the barrage a couple weeks back... we've got like so many places to go and things to do before the next 17 days are up but don't have timeee!! yikes... i realli wana get my nikon d90 soonies sigh when will i have enuf cash?!! meanwhile... i'll just have to be content with this camera!        __love struck ([`dJ]) ♥ orange 0 comments Friday, November 21, 2008 1:36 pm Hello blog! I know we've both been bad owners cos we haven't updated in a long time! But its cos we have this "DJ diary" which we write on every week so maybe we've forgotten abt u hehe. Anyway i'm here for a reason! And the reason is cos i'm super bored at work! Sit back and relax while i elaborate why… … :) OK! Here I go! Right now I’m working at NUH in the HR Wellness dept. Actually they were wrong to call it a department cos there are only 2 staff -.- one is the boss and the other the worker. Basically their titles are Executive and Senior Admin Asisstant respectively.. Haha. So I was employed to be a temp staff for 3 months before I go to Melbourne Uni to further my studies! Like finally?! Yeah. My role as I was told was supposed to be data entry, but so far I haven’t done any data entry. Haha.. Cos I need a programme to key in the results but the comp is not working! So the IT ppl took the CPU to repair it.. And it’s been almost 2 weeks! :/ The data that I have to key in are actually from the Health Screening that they conducted on the first 2 weeks I started work. It was free of charge for all NUH staff and so we expected like 4000 ppl. *faints* I helped out in that too, doing registration and taking height and weight. But seemed like only 2000plus turned up :) The Dept of Lab Medicine took the blood specimens for testing, and after that they gave us all the raw data that I need to key into the programme. So I’m still waiting for it to be okay… Oh wells, 3 boring paragraphs. In this paragraph, I have something more exciting to tell u! Dear and me are going to Vietnam in 2 weeks’ time!!! Yippie! Its from 5 - 9 Dec and we're gonna go to Phan Thiet and Mui Ne for 2 days, and Ho Chi Minh City for 3 days. We’re both super excited about it hehehe… Dear was the one who customized everything and booked the hotel and flight. I’m still doing research about where to go during our free & easy day. Hee. I've been really free since end May, about 5 weeks since my last day of work! Contract ended on 26 May. Trying to find a new job and have applied for 4 so far, but i haven't got any response yet! =( Been slacking at home most of the time and watching the Eurocup. Mum subscribed! Quite glad that Spain won! I was kinda rooting for them all the while.. Haha. And i watched lots of Ellen Degeneres, MTV, National Spelling Bee, Are you smarter than a 5th grader, Wheel of Fortune. Haha.. And i'm missing dear terribly now :( He's outfield now.. Gonna be for the next few days! Was quite glad that mum let me stay over at his place on sat! We watched Death Note 3 tgt! It was not bad, but not really linked to the previous two. I prefer parts 1 & 2! But it was still quite nice overall =) I'm very excited! Our 3 year anni is coming up dear! 6 days more! And dear took off on that day specially to celebrate it with me! I'm really very happy and hope that it'll be a fantastic day for the both of us! Can't wait =) Dun need to get me any present okay? Serious. Or if it's belated i won't mind also! Hehe.. __love struck ([`dJ]) ♥ deb 0 comments Saturday, March 01, 2008 8:02 pm Hello hello! Sorry to have abandoned you dear blog! It's march! Yesterday was 29th Feb and I proposed to dear but he found it not sincere and didn't accept my proposal! =( But in time to come we're still gonna get married for REAL! Yeah! Ohhhh wells! Feb was a great month =) There was CNY, followed by my 21st birthday, and then followed by Valentine's day, and next our "secret" getaway to Phuket! Plus it's the leap year! Loads of stuff happening in the shortest month of the year.. I thoroughly enjoyed Feb although it was pretty hectic! I received an overwhelming amount of money in my red packets - 1000 bucks! But only some relatives gave me extra for my birthday.. And the first 4 days of CNY nearly killed me! There were tons of relatives visiting cos my grandparents stayed with us. What's worse, my mom prepared ALLLLL the food and had so little sleep! Her hands were full of cuts and all sore cos of all the cooking. Thanks to my 40over relatives cos of the big family i have.. My 21st was celebrated at my home.. It was the 3rd day of CNY, and mom cooked too. I invited about 30 frens! Imagine the non-stop cooking mom had to do these few days. It's horrible i tell u! Thank you so much mummy for all your help =) Your cooking's great! Everybody said so too =) We played some mahjong, watched a movie, took pics and ate cake! It was a pretty short gathering, and I received lots of prezzies too! Wasn't expecting that many though.. Thanks heaps people! Dear's present REALLY was the most memorable present of all - A trip to Phuket alone with him! AWW! I was speechless for a while, and i couldn't imagine where he found the time to book the flight and hotel plus rent a car! They weren't that cheap either.. =) Phuket! 23-26th Feb! I was SOOO anticipating the trip, i could hardly concentrate at work! Our first flight our together =) We flew by Airasia to Phuket Intl Airport and from there was picked up by someone at David's Car Rental. Then we drove to our hotel! It was a scary ride! The roads were winding and steeply uphill or downhill.. Plus most of the time it's only one lane per direction! Our hotel was Sugar Palm Karon which is located at Karon beach - much quieter than Patong beach. It had a resort-like look and is super new and clean! (All photos in Facebook) We watched Simon Cabaret the first night.. Went snorkelling and sightseeing at Phi Phi Islands on day 2, plus some sightseeing on our own at night. On day 3 also went to some viewpoints and to Phuket Town for lunch! Night time was spent buying food stuffs and bargaining at the shops by the beach... Overall it was a lovely and memorable trip =) Although we got a lil lost sometimes while finding places, we still managed to get back on track! We both got injured on the 2nd day though, getting cut by rocks while snorkelling.. But that didn't dampen our mood! I miss the time spent with dear in Phuket already... =( Memories of all the fun times we had will always be etched in my mind... End Dec 2007 was really hectic for me - shopping for presents among the crazy crowds, going for xmas dinners with the family and in church, meet-ups with my best friends etc..

1st of jan 2008 was particularly memorable for me. We went to watch fireworks at Marina! It was the first time i ever "celebrated" the new year. For the past 20 years i was at home sleeping every 1st jan! Dear took pretty good pics using his new cam! Me and Chee San were unsuccessful though haha. All the squeezing, pushing and shoving were pretty annoying but it was worth the while! There were murmurs everywhere before 12am when everyone was anticipating but once it was 12, the whole crowd fell silent and we could only hear the sounds of the fireworks! They were soooo pretty i tell u.. Even better than those at NDP! =) Last but not least, thank you dear for being who you are! The cute lil boy boy hehe. Thank you for picking me up when i got back from KL, and for all the saturdays u picked me up from work too =) I really appreciate it. Thank you for giving in to me on times when i was pms-ing and benig unreasonable.. Thank you for being understanding! GRR. i was badly burnt durin the cover and there's practically no TANNED skin left on my face now cos' everythin is jus peeling off. THAT cover was horrible... SEASICK, LACK OF SLEEP, SUNBURN, THUNDERSTORM, NO MEALS on the sea for 8 hours grrr. Everyone was callin me lobster after that AND it sucked to have ur skin so badly burnt it hurts all the time. Worse still, I had piles of work to clear when I came back. AHHHH! I was so looking forward to a long weekend on Wed's bookout when my senior medic cancelled my OFF on Friday (yest!) and YES I HAD TO STAY 3 weekends in camp in a row.. and practice A&E procedures like nobody's business over friday when almost everyone was on off / leave... just because apparently some joker went to the hospital without informing us(when i was on cover that day; so the arrow landed right at me!) i've lost all my spirits for x mas... feeling so rotten... i din really bothered lookin for meaningful presents cos the buildup to this festivity is just plain horrible... plus... baby's been so busy hanging around other people plus working.... we're slowly drifting apart... all thanks to those CONFINEMENTS i've had since i've arrived here... that feeling really sucks... when it suddenly seems u dun really have someone in ur life... i guess relationships in ns are a bad thing after all... well it definitely depends on WHERE n WHAT u're doing... guess wat... i might have to operate on my knee after all... :( lets see how it goes next month... i miss those carefree times in SMTI with my buddies real loads... where r u guys... i want to get back my expended happy laughter... WHEEE my leave's starting on the 21st.... SHIOK muhahaha cos i'll only be back in camp on the 27th NIGHT hehe. but that also means i gota do some real xmas shopping of my own yikes.... my $400 allowance jus came in like last wk and i spent 25% of it last friday already grrr... been feeling total burnout this week... the commando bmt came in on friday... my schedule is so horrible... cant do anythin cos im still an understudy... oh well.. might get posted to hendon after cny to *revamp the medical centre there sob... let's see how it goes... havent really tot of my x mas wish aka prezzie yet... feel so old suddenly hahah... i jus realise i cant even afford the camera i wan with my curret pay! sob.. talk about the mountains of paperwork i have to do... MEDICS are meant to end work after 5 and go home... BUT... i return to my pathetic bunk everyday after 6pm... sigh. yes thats right i'll be stayin in camp for the rest of my ns life.. no bookout on weekdays jus like the rest of my buddies.. ALL PRIVILEGES REMOVED. to round off a sucky NEW WEEK in a NEW CAMP... `Wed : DRAW BLOOD `Thurs: Medical Cover out at Sea `Fri: DUTY MEDIC `Sat: DUTY MEDIC `Sun: OPS recce `Mon: NO OFF! `Tues: Medical Cover for airborne this rotten feeling worsens... when there is lousy food... when none of my buddies are here... sigh. and guess wat... OUTFIELD cover (8 rotten days in the jungle) OVERSEAS cover (Thailand, Australia, Taiwan, Brunei - 3 wks to 2 mths)
