Grandparents: This is for You!
Landry is talking so much lately, it's scary. And repeating things...whew! I really need to get Robert to quit calling me "honey lovey sugar bottom"! Just kidding...you all know he calls me "hey"! :)
So Miss Landry Lu has quite the repertoire of words! A few of her new words/phrases include: dark, be quiet, Robert (haha), Where are you, I want to, truck, duck, cow, brush, up, are you ready, chocolate milk, woo hoo....and others. I am sure I am wearing y'all out.
The other night I was taking cookies out of the oven and Landry was in her highchair. She saw the pan and yelled, "cookies, woo hoo!"
She also is learning sounds that different things make. For cow, of course, moo! For the puppy, ruff, ruff. And for daddy's motorcycle, boodnnn, boodnnn...
Last night we practiced counting...
She is so much fun right now, but so independent. The special moments are super ooey, gooey, special and the fits are doozies...BUT wouldn't trade her for ANYTHING! Love ya'll!
Landry had a big time playing in Mimi's backyard and in the playhouse. Apparently sand was on the menu, because that is what the girls cooked with. It was in every little tea pot and dish and even in the appliances. After we cleaned up the playhouse and played a little longer it was time to go in for lunch.
Mimi fixed one of Robert's favorites. Gulosh. Goulosh....Goulash, that I am just now realizing I don't know how the spell. We also had mashed potatoes and corn and of course birthday cake.
Cousin Sarah gave her Uncle Robert a card in which she had written "I Like Robert." Isn't that special...?! He then told her that even somedays Aunt Amy doesn't like him, so he really appreciated the sentiment.
Here are Sarah's parents, those silly Clapps! They are funny, funny as you can see from Russell's expression!
Landry and I never practiced until yesterday but she was able to tell her daddy "happy birthday"! So sweet!
With my man...who is now caught up to me in age. Whew! For 8 months or so...!
Landry found Mimi's harmonica and had quite the time with it.
R only had one candle on his cake. Mimi said it represents the year he has until he is 3-0! Yikes! Lucky for me, I am a girl, and we stop aging at 29.
Thanks everyone from the Birthday Boy!
