A Room Within
I thought I would share my choreography that I took to a dance festival held in montana. These are two dancers form the Contemporary Dance Theater company at BYU. They did such an amazing job.

The Perks of Living in an Older Family Ward
So when Jared and I moved into the basement apartment of my grandmas we had to decide whether or not we wanted to attend the BYU married ward or the regular family ward assigned to our neighborhood. We decided that we wanted to go to the family ward even though we would most likely be one of 5 couples younger than 50 yrs old.
When I went to relief society for the first time I felt so out of place. The lessons were about dealing with living in an empty home, how raising your kids helped you, and how to use new technology (the computer). However, as I have been in this ward for a year and a half I can now say that this is the best ward I have been apart of and because we live in such a older ward there are certainly perks that come from it.
1-You get to hear the conversations that go on between people very easily. Whether its in sacrament meeting or sunday school we can hear it all. Many of the sisters in my relief society are hard of hearing and therefore when they think they are whispering to their neighbor their opinion about the subject they are actually speaking in a loud voice and can be clearly heard around the room.
2-They aren't afraid to say what they think. I had a lady today tell me that she loved my ash blonde hair color and asked if it was natural which I replied yes and then asked if my family has a history of early grey hair. Not quite sure what she is implying.
3-The primary is small. We teach in the primary and absolutely love our calling. We also love the fact that our kids come from about 10 families in the ward so when we move through the age groups to teach different classes we end up just teaching their brothers and sisters.
4-Everyone feels like we are a part of their family. Any time I talk to someone in the ward they are always so interested in what I am doing, where we are going, what our future holds, and somehow know something about us that I don't remember telling them. They are always concerned about us like we were their own children and are always eager to make sure we have all that we need. And when I say everyone I literally mean everyone. There is not one person in my ward that I feel doesn't know me. I have had a couple people in my ward already offer to throw me a shower or make sure that someone in our ward was taking care of it.

Significant things in my life:
-I am expecting a baby girl at the end of June
-My duet that I choreographed a year ago got chosen to be performed at a dance festival in Montana in April so I get to set it on beautiful dancers from the Contemporary company at BYU
-I was chosen to speak at my convocation in April. Im still not sure why, ask anyone and they will tell you how horrible I am at public speaking
-Last weekend was the first time in 15 years that I have not competed in the National Dancesport Championship at BYU. Instead I did hair, make-up, and cheering for my students who were dancing.
-I've grown my hair color out so that I am mostly just a dirty/dishwater/darker blonde, or perhaps I now have brown hair but I am not yet prepared to accept that. In fact I keep forgetting that my hair isn't platinum blonde anymore and then I look in the mirror.
-Instead of going to school and dancing all day, I find myself cleaning my house all day because somehow the next day it is dirty again. Cant wait until we have kids and the mess is magnified. Still not sure how we kept our house clean when I was in school.

Spiegel Im Spiegel
I've been doing some choreographing lately, and can I just say that choreographing is one of the scariest things that I do in my life. It makes me feel so nervous and vulnerable. It brings out all of my insecurities that I keep locked inside. But I love it, and I love watching choreography that inspires me. This is a video that one of my friends shared with me and I absolutely love it. I love the way that they filmed it as well as the movement itself.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
